  • Wonderful and cheerful villa in Calonge, Catalunya, Spain with private pool for 6 persons. The villa is situated in a residential area and close to restaurants and bars. The villa has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 1 guest toilet, spread over 2 levels. The vicinity of the beach, places to shop, sports activities and places to go out makes this a fine villa to celebrate your holidays with family or friends.

Good but could be so much better!

The booking process was painless and good comunication leading up to our arrival was welcome. The handover and introduction was very brief ( 5 minutes )and nothing was explained on how things worked and it was left upto us to work out how things worked. On finding out the aircon was not working we tried to contact the agent who was supposed to be available 24/7 but too no avail. The agent turned up on the Sunday but didn't know how the air-con worked so sent someone on Monday who told us it was broken. It was not until the Tuesday of our stay that it was repaired. Beware! The air-con advertised is not the traditional kind but an underfloor cooling system similar to under floor heating but in reverse, not very effective in our experiance. The villa was clean throughout when we arrived but was infested with ants, my son had to abandon his bedroom on the first night when he woke up covered in ants. The master bedroom also had ants coming out of the skirting board. Lovely position, great views and great pool. Pool area good for sunbathing but in shade from late afternoon. Only 2 sunbeds for a villa sleeping 6 was not good but when mentioned 2 more appeared the next day. Also beach towels, although promised when booking, were not available but again appeared after a reminder. Wi-fi was patchy and very little information on the area, resturants etc and no visitors book, which is often a good source of information. The area was nice and quiet (apart from constantly barking dogs in the valley) with good places to eat within 10 minutes drive. In conclusion: a nice villa but not up to the standard expected for what it cost and one with a tag of "Luxury Villa". We have been to many better but cheaper villa's.
