"What a lovely spot, our favorite of our time in Portugal. Pedro was amazing, offering help with how to use the stove, or suggesting the best hike, or speaking with the neighbor,Maria. "The owners are great. The property is not. The place is cold for winter, the thermostat is locked, but if you call the owners they will adjust it up some. The place has a smell. It is like a wet dog or mold. The bed is hard, the pillows are flat, and the sheets are thin. It is a multi- stay unit home, if you book a room, there may be another 4 (or more) guests staying there with you sharing the common room. For winter, all the potted plant were brought inside. A bit more communication from the owners as to where they are or where to go for check-in would be appreciated. They are right next door for the record. The owners made a simple bread, fruit, and coffee breakfast with local jam and honey. It was nice and they are good conversationalists. I wish I could rate it higher, but the smell was a big negative for me. "
