Above the Tide Motel does not pretend to be a 5 star property. It is dated for sure, but it has a lot of good things about it too. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. Although small, the room had many conveniences, and it was was very affordable, and well located. If you like being oceanside, and I do, it has a great view of the waters between their shoreline and Quadra Island, with lots of marine birds and sea life to watch.

The location was good as you could walk downtown. The view from the balcony was amazing. The bed was pretty good. The room was clean. The ac unit was super loud. We were surprised that the building is quite old. We expected more for the price. Location and the view is what you pay for.

Great view and close to town/ferry. Comfortable room with coffee facilities appreciated. Air conditioner was too loud to sleep so had to leave off. Bathroom door needed latch repaired, but usable. Staff friendly and attentive. Would stay again.

Der Ausblick war super. Der Fußboden im Zimmer war sehr dreckig. Aus dem Wasserhahn im Bad kommt kaum Wasser. Das Bett ist sehr weich. Es gibt keine Eismaschine.

Nice waterfront property. The parking lot was hard to get around in . Very little room to maneuver your car around . Very little space between the retaining wall and the building .

The view out of the room was beautifully, wach room has a balcony that looks over the ocean and as you wake up you can watch the sunrise. It was magical. And a bonus was theu provide real cream for your morning coffee not just coffee mate!

Hot water goes from hot to cold. Plug does not work for hair dryer. Was told light switch needs to be turned on after the fact. Sign would have been helpful. There was enough natural light that I did not need to turn on the light. To use the kettle you have to pull out the microwave and unplug it. It’s in a tight space, very hard to do. Property is very old and dated.

I have stayed here before, it works for what i need. Ocean view, a bed and a bathroom. Basic but affordable and quiet with helpful staff.

It was a unique little place. We had tha downstairs unit and it was a gem. Cute lil courtyard for our own personal use, amazing view. Room was small but cozy and everything you need. Microwave, fridge, coffee maker and view. Bed super comfy. I would definitely reccommend. I wish we had booked 2 nights instead of 1.

LIKE: Motel was convenient to city centre and commercial eateries; Quiet, scenic patio; comfortable bed and room. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: Parking spaces limited; difficult entry ledge on driveway (when leaving from office frontage).

Dark small and very old room. Built with parts and pieces. Very tiny shower. Would not give more than 1 star. Very hard to see sign from roadway…. A different sign was there instead.

This is a very nice spot right over the ocean, with a cool quiet backyard which is nicely set up with chairs and table for enjoying the scenery. Great spot in Campbell River in the summer time. The room is cozy and cute, homey and decorated like a little cabin.

Expansive views from the backyard of the motel.

Cruise ships spotting in the channel as seen from the back of the motel, a popular pastime for guests at this place lol!
