Every part of our stay at the York was excellent. From the moment we arrived at reception how helpful the staff were to the huge room (it is not 5 star snazzy but has absolute everything you could want at an unbeatable price tag) to the lovely inviting resort-style facilities (gym, big outdoor heated pool, large hot spa & sauna). The location is fantastic, right next to Wynyard station, a quick walk down to Barangaroo for brekkie (although the hotel also offers buffet breakfast at $38 pp). We also had a beautiful view from our 19th floor balcony.

No lifts worked at check in or that night when we got home. Had to walk up and down 20 floors to get to pool, spa, sauna and room. Next morning 1 lift worked for the entire hotel... Bed was incredibly hard.

This hotel is located conveniently at Chinatown. We were not notified of renovation ongoing at the lobby and hence some inconvenience was to be expected. Housekeeping was efficient in providing service and kind to offer a room upgrade and bottle of wine for our birthday celebrations!
