Beautiful cabin set back in the trees overlooking the lake - perfect for our mini family reunion! The host was accommodating when we added a pet guest last minute. The firepit was great for s’mores in the evening.

This is a beautiful property overlooking the lake with a perfect view of the sunrise. We stayed with my mother-in-law (who was celebrating her 90th birthday), my daughter & son-in-law, and my brothers-in-law. There was plenty of room for everyone and a kitchen to fit all of us around the table for meals. The basement is huge and has a game room with a pool table along with a full kitchen and bathroom. It was a perfect place for our family birthday celebration. It was also nice to have a Wegmans close by to provide the buffet brunch. Perhaps the best thing for me was the fenced in yard which our little Zoe enjoyed while I sat on the porch with my coffee every morning. There was a change to the front door entry code but that was quickly resolved during check-in. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Family Get Away

Sherri was an amazing host and her property was perfect for our family get away. Well appointed, many details included, perfect location, so much room inside and out. I would highly recommend this home for any season!

Girls Trip

The property sits back and you can see the lake from the front door.It was a picturesque view with the fireplace blazing and deer walking through the yard. It is enormous and the interior design of the place is amazing! The amenities are wonderful. Its everything you need for a long getaway or a group looking for a weekend stay.

Cozy Cabin

We loved our stay at Lakeview Lodge. Sherrie was extremely easy to reach and very accommodating. The location has amazing views of the lake. Kids especially enjoyed the hot tub, bon fires, and the pool table. Lots of space for the eleven of us!

Autumn Family Reunion

Golf trip 2024

This property had room for our group of 10. We utilized the spacious kitchen and dining room, used the hot tub, had a fire out in the large fire pit and some of the group enjoyed the pool table. Lots of places to sit a converse,and read. I would highly recommend this property.

Retreat Camp

I had a great stay the lodge with my 2 sons and their families. It was so cozy and comfy, plenty of space, more than adequately stocked and checked all the amenities we were looking for. Sherrie was a friendly wonderful host and checked to be sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely return for another stay.

We had such a wonderful time on our girl's weekend trip here!! Everything was clean and beautiful! We spent so much time snuggling up by one of the many fireplaces, and soaking in the hot tub. Perfect location for a girl's getaway!!

2024 Vacation

Our family of 9 had a wonderful time! The Lake house was very nice. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could want. The bedrooms were nice. The only complaint I heard was “it’s so dark” in the bedrooms, bathrooms, & living rooms.

Great family get together

Plenty of room for family of 10 and 2 dogs. Owner was responsive to any questions or needs that we had. Fully stocked kitchen and large table, inside the rustic log house. We enjoyed the view, fire pit, hot tub and overall great family time.

Excellent Stay

There was 9 of us down for a biannual golf trip. The Lodge is in a great location and central to so many things. There is a lot of space throughout the Lodge. The owner Sherrie is great and can’t be more accommodating. The kitchen is beautiful and with such a large dining room table everyone can eat together. We would come back here in a heartbeat!!!

Great View and House!

We had a lovely stay at this property. The owner was responsive and lovely. All the little "extras" were so nice to have! The kitchen was huge and we enjoyed all the extra little relaxing spaces around the house. The outside on this property is second to none. We loved the hot tub and the view to the lake is breath taking! We will stay again!

Wonderful family vacation

Wonderful stay! The large house accommodated our family of 10 and 2 dogs with no issues! Very spacious - plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen as we cooked nearly all dinners and ate at the long dinner table. The fenced-in side yard was a unique feature which was very handy for our dogs! The hot tub was new and clean and we used it many nights! The fire pit is also huge (12 chairs) and we had at least 4 fires while staying. Thanks for everything!!

Wonderful gathering with friends!

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and spacious cabin. We gathered as four families and this cabin accommodated us comfortably. We especially enjoyed the pool room, updated kitchen, and fire pit. We spent time at lake Canandaigua and in the beauty of the surrounding area. There are plenty of grocery stores with a short drive. On arrival we has an unexpected challenge and the owner/manager was very responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

Fall Retreat

Our extended family of nine (and two dogs) enjoyed a November break here. The house had ample space for everyone to spread out and do their own thing. The house has four fireplaces that make it ultra cosy! The hot tub was a bonus on cold mornings and clear nights. The host was extremely accommodating for our departure and arrival times and even ensured we had the right equipment with which to cook our turkey by shipping a new roasting pan. A very enjoyable stay with lots of space for the dogs to romp and roam!

Perfect fit for our family!

We had a great weeklong family vacation in this beautiful rustic yet modern cabin/home! My husband and I enjoyed the spacious primary suite/bathroom while our son and daughter-in-law stayed in the other king-size bedroom with their 4 kids (9, 7, 5 and almost 3!). Our son and his girlfriend occupied the other 2 double bedrooms. AND we got to bring our 2 dogs as an added bonus. The house was in quick driving distance to some great hikes and wineries, but we ate in every night and used the well-equipped kitchen to prepare some delicious meals. Thank you Sherrie for "lending" us your home.

Lake view log cabin

Property was amazing. Sherrie the owner had communicated right from the start to the end explicit instructions of details to make your stay as easy to access and depart was always readily available and caring. Hot tub was a plus staring at the stars at nite in a wooded lot connected to back porch.went with grown kids and was fun and laugh together. Family Time Back East

The location of the Cabin was perfect for us, and we loved all the dog-friendly amenities for our 4-legged kids. Mu husband and I could take off right from the cabin for long road bike rides on quiet country roads, while our parents could drive 10 minutes to a wonderful park at the north end of Canandaigua Lake to walk by the lake-shore. We loved sitting on the lawn each morning enjoying the view of the lake, and being able to throw the ball for our dogs. We also loved how quiet the place was, as that is critical for us. We cooked in all but 1 night during our stay, as the renovated kitchen was just wonderful, and we also loved lighting a fire in one of the fireplaces during some of the evenings when Fall was in the air. Sherrie was absolutely wonderful to work with! She was incredibly responsive, and even ordered a few things for the house that we needed, as soon as we asked for them. She is one of the best, if not the best, owner I've worked with when booking through this site! Thank you Sherrie!

Pros and Cons

Some quick info about the home: 3 bedrooms upstairs with 7/8 beds and 2 baths. Downstairs has 2 living rooms and 1 half bath, along with the kitchen and dining room. The home is situated on top of a hill with a view of the lake Pros: - lots of beds, - nice quiet location, - nice view of Lake Canandaigua, - great communication with owner who strived to make the “cons” right we mentioned right, - pet friendly, - toys for kids - close to town - lots of deer around to enjoy looking at every morning Cons: - this is an older home so you will hear everything going on throughout the house. It needs a lot of updating - the home was absolutely FILTHY when we got there. Owner of cleaning company came out and had the home cleaned but it was still very dirty and in need of a deep deep cleaning - carpets haven’t been shampooed in a long time, mold/mildew in bathrooms, thick layer of dust throughout the house, dirty refrigerator and kitchen - some equipment didn’t work, the electricity for the stove stopped working so the oven didn’t work, missing remotes for the televisions - exposed electrical work throughout the house (dangerous for little kids) - stink bugs mostly in the Master bedroom, apparently this is normal for being so close to the lake - a lot of windows do not open properly - master bedroom AC did not work (very hot room) - small master bathroom shower - some of the dining room seating is broken so we were limited on eating together at the table
