Clean, adult-only private villas at Isla Retreats, close to restaurants & beach

This is #2 of 6 villas at Isla Retreats that was completed in May of 2017. It is upscale, tastefully decorated, and fully furnished with everything you will need for your stay. We pride ourselves on truly being a "retreat" - a place to unwind, relax and enjoy.

Villa #2 is a one bedroom unit with a king size bed and a bathroom. There is a mini-refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot. This unit is similar to a hotel room.

Luxury furnishings include a Smart TV, marble counter tops and marble floors, and remote control air conditioning in each room. High speed WiFi Internet is included. All of our Villas have king size beds. We provide beach towels, bath towels, high quality linens, hair dryer, and iron/ironing board for your use. There is an in-room programmable safe to store your valuables and passports.

Villa #1 can be rented along with Villa #2 as a two bedroom unit or individually. Villa #1 is a one bedroom unit with a king size bed, a full bathroom, living room, dining room and full kitchen. There is a lock-out door to Villa #1 (property #932787). Please see property #932787 for more information about Villa #1.

Isla Retreats is located five minutes from El Centro and Playa Norte, past the airport and just past the college, Bachilleros. It is within easy biking distance to the main beach, Playa Norte, as well as to all the attractions in town. You can take a low cost cab ride, or you can rent a golf cart or a scooter to explore the town, where the banks, ATM’s, shopping, bars, restaurants and live music are located. Transportation is not needed here, but is recommended if you wish to explore the extended area on your own. If you want to stay in the neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of town, Isla Retreats is located within walking distance to many great restaurants: Rosa Sirena's, Aurora, Mango Cafe, Caribbean Brisas, Kash Keken Chuc, just to name a few. It is also located three blocks from the main grocery store on the island, Chedraui.

Our goal is to create a high-scale experience within the a local neighborhood - your perfect island retreat. With its breathtaking heated pool, tropically landscaped gardens, charming and luxurious villas, Isla Retreats offers a wonderful place for people to escape to to enjoy a restful vacation. Relax under our palapa or poolside beach chairs, just steps away from the rocky shore of the Caribbean and the sound of the breaking waves.

Isla Retreats

My wife and I recently stayed at Isla Retreats and thoroughly enjoyed it. The property is very clean and welcoming; both the staff and cats :-). Katy communicates via WhatsApp and she's very responsive to any questions/issues. The villas are spotless, modern, and equipped with everything you need. Katy arranged a golf cart for us and it was waiting at the property upon arrival. Isla Brewery (cash only) is right across the street and La Patrona is a 1 min walk; there's also a convenience store across the street (cash only). The pool is nice and clean unlike large resorts which we loved. There's also security onsite monitoring who comes and go which we liked. Isla Retreats was a very pleasant experience and I'd highly recommend if you're looking to visit Isla Mujeres.

Great place! Great host!

The place was clean and appeared exactly as it was listed. Suited our needs in a central location on Isla Mujeres. The host was fantastic! She provided a lot of helpful info on getting to the island by ferry. Also provided info on the bag handlers and taxi service. There is a book in the room that lists local places to visit and her personal reviews. We will stay here again

Beautiful, relaxing vacation

Isla Retreats exceeded all expectations. Perfect location, beautiful tropical grounds and the cleanliness of the villas were excellent. The owner, Katy, is most welcoming and friendly, as is her family. All housekeeping and grounds people were friendly and took great pride in their work. Having Isla Retreat cats just made our stay feel more like home💜 I will absolutely recommend this treasure and will return.

Amazing stay on Isla!

This was our second time staying in Isla and we loved everything about this private resort! All of the staff was so friendly and warm. It's central location makes it easy to visit either side of the island. Highly recommend having Katie arrange a golf cart for you! It was so convenient to have that ready when we got there.

We loved our stay here! The facility is beautiful and so well kept. Katie is so personable and has put a lot of love into this place and it shows! Just Paradise❤️

Words can’t describe the beauty of this place. Katy and her father Dave were awesome, great humble people who will accommodate you base on your needs! For us it’s all about relaxing and peaceful. We got both plus more! They also will arraigned a golf cart delivered at their property without you going to compete with the local golf cart vendors and the prices are legit no questions ask. For us, we tried Villa #2 (cute one!!!) and Villa #5 much bigger space wise but don’t take me wrong, both villas are great! We just happened to be the lucky ones (thanks to Kati) and try them both! Super Host understatement. Bottom line; Great Paradise, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION, you are on the middle of Playa Norte & Punta Azul so that make it great for you to go out at night and peaceful when you get back to this Paradise! It’s worth every PENNY spent!!

Amazing!

This property is what I would call an oasis! The design, thought and care along with wonderful owners that truly care about their guests is what everyone hopes for when renting a vacation location, this one fills the bill! From the finely appointed rooms and villas to the gorgeous salt water pool, palapa, landscaping and staff it's all there. It's safe and quiet. Katy is a great communicator and can arrange golf cart deliveries, restaurant and beach club recommendations along with information regarding the island. When we return to the island we will definitely stay at The Isla Retreats. Thank you for creating and sharing this magical place!

Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und mit allen wichtigen Details ausgestattet- ganz toll auch der Wasserspender und die Möglichkeit im Zimmer Kaffee zu kochen. Es war super sauber und das Bett sehr gemütlich und genügend Handtücher/Badetücher. Besonders hilfreich auch die Infomappe mit vielen Tipps. Wir haben uns hier sehr willkommen gefühlt. Würden wir jederzeit wieder buchen.

The BEST place to stay on Isla Mujeres

Look no further than Isla Retreats. From the moment we walked onto the property until the day we left we had a magical experience. Katy and her father have created the most beautiful, peaceful, immaculately maintained property with everything you could think you need and more. We used the pool with waterfall everyday and sat beneath the palapa to read. We stayed in a king-bed room - every detail has been attended to. The air-conditioning is fabulous, bed so comfortable, small table and 2 chairs, closet and bureau for clothes, a safe for valuables and plenty of room for everything. The small kitchen area has your own large pure water dispenser, glasses and silverware, microwave and refrigerator, paper towels, ice in the freezer and two bottles of wine - red and white! The shower is strong and has limitless hot water and there are plenty of towels, including some you can borrow to go to the beach. Katy told us about all the local restaurants and we had some of the best meals we've ever had in Mexico (have breakfast/brunch at Mango Cafe Isla and the hamburger at Madera Food and Art). Isla Retreats is not in the busy Playa Norte area where there are lots of hawkers, loud music, and many, many people. Isla Retreats is about a 20-25 minute walk from that area where it is much more peaceful and in an area that has lots of great restaurants you can walk to, a huge supermarket, and nice walks along the ocean. You can get anywhere on the island in a taxi for a mere $2.60. One day we rented a golf cart and they delivered it and picked it up from Isla Retreats. Katy also arranged a private sailboat cruise for us - it was just the two of us and Juan, the master sailor. As we sailed through the beautiful blue water we passed many large sailboats and catamarans with crowds of people and loud music - we were so happy with our choice that day - it was just spectacular. We were so incredibly happy that we found Isla Retreats and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone planning a stay on the island. Katy is always available to help and answer questions and all of the Isla Retreats staff were friendly and always so helpful. Thank you Katy - we'll be back!
