The staff was rude the room was in bad shape as well as the hotel The shower leaked the toilet would not flush properly the sink was clogged They came to clean the room by just taking the towels but not replacing them The pool was rusted the lounge chairs were torn and badly worn out The couch in the room was so dirty the floor tiles were cracked very disgusting. The hotel didn’t look at all like the pictures Truly disappointed will not use this hotel again

We had a really pleasant stay at Hotel Cyan Resort & Spa in Cancun. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and we didn’t encounter any problems at all during our stay, which made the experience very relaxing overall. Our room faced the lagoon and had a beautiful view - definitely a highlight. The air conditioning worked great, which is a must in Cancun, and the plumbing was solid with good water pressure and consistent water temperature. ** A couple of things worth noting for future guests: complimentary bottled water is only provided on the first night. After that, you can purchase water from the mini fridge (about $7.40 CAD for two bottles) or buy it elsewhere. Also, alcohol isn’t allowed on hotel grounds unless it’s purchased from the hotel bars. The on-site restaurant was reasonable in terms of food and pricing, but they do close from 12:00–1:00 PM, which is a bit inconvenient during lunchtime. The hotel also offers airport shuttle services for around $50 USD, though we didn’t use this option ourselves. Overall, for the price we paid, this hotel was great value. It’s a comfortable, clean place with excellent staff and a beautiful views. As long as you’re aware of a few policies in advance, it’s an enjoyable place to stay in Cancun.

Definitely not the best place to stay in Cancun. I booked a king size bed room and I got 2 twin beds separate… they were able to move me in the right room at the half of my vacation. They seems not very happy to accommodate any request from the guests. Amenities are very poor! Gym (they called fitness center) it’s basically a small room with just a few machine - literally 4! Looks like was a normal room adapted as a gym. The restaurant was pretty but the service was very very slow. I ordered a steak rare and I got it on my table after 50 minutes well done. One of the day I have to cancel my breakfast because after 40 minutes waiting for an avocado toast I had to leave for an external excursion. The staff is overall very friendly and nice. My favorite was the bartender at the pool bar. For the same price I am sure you can gat a better option.

El hotel en general necesita mejoras en sus instalaciones. El personal de recepción y la chica del Spa muy amables, nuestras cenas en el restaurante del hotel todo muy bien y de buen sabor, lo que no nos gusto fue la atención al desayuno, parece que les interesa mas la atencion a los extranjeros que a uno como nacional, lo que disfrute y muy rico su pan francés tipo tiramisu. Y la gran decepción fue su alberca muy grande pero super fría ni el dia que estuvo muy soleado calento tantito, ni modo mi niño se quedo con las ganas de meterse a la alberca que ibamos por ello.

Loud traffic all night from highway, bad smell in bathroom, toilet flusher would get stuck and the water would keep running, sink would take a long time to drain, stains on couch in room, definitely needs to be updated, photos on website and advertisements is false compared to the reality of how run down and worn out the hotel is

I stayed at this hotel during my trip to Cancun. Overall, it was an okay experience. The location was convenient and made it easy to get around and enjoy the area. The room was clean, though a bit dated, and had the basic amenities I needed for my stay. The staff was generally polite and helpful, but service could be a little inconsistent at times. Some interactions were great, while others felt rushed. The common areas were decent, but they could use a bit more upkeep. For the price, it was reasonable, and it worked fine as a place to sleep and relax between outings. I wouldn’t call it luxurious, but it gets the job done. I’d consider staying here again if I found a good deal, but I might explore other options next time.

🚨 DO NOT STAY HERE — WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE 🚨 ⭐ 0/5 if that were possible I am writing this review as a serious warning to anyone considering Cyan Cancún Resort. This property is misrepresented online and should not be marketed as a resort — or frankly, as acceptable lodging at all. The most alarming part of our stay was that there were NO accessible electrical outlets in the room. I had to unplug the TV and use my own extension cord just to charge basic devices. That alone should disqualify this hotel from operating. The mini‑fridge did not work — it was hot instead of cold, making it useless and unsafe for storing drinks or food. The curtains and bed pillows were visibly dirty, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. The bathroom situation was even worse: • Terrible plumbing, causing a persistent foul odor • No shower door at all, so water floods the bathroom every time you shower • The overall smell and condition made the bathroom extremely unpleasant to use Before arrival, the hotel ignored emails and phone calls. During the stay, there was no meaningful front‑desk support to address any of these issues. No urgency, no accountability, no attempt to resolve anything. The conditions were so bad that we checked out after just one night and immediately booked another hotel. We moved to Aloft Cancún, which so much better. This hotel is a scam and if you are considering staying here to save some money DONT!!!

We stayed at Cyan Cancun for 2 nights. We were very surprised how nice the hotel was. Beautiful pool area with a well groomed beach. The staff work hard at keeping the hotel clean. We found the staff helpful and pleasant. Although it is an older hotel that could use some updating the hotel was very clean, restaurant food was okay. I was reluctant to book due to the reviews. Needless to say we were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed our stay. We had a room with a king size bed that was very comfortable, the room was very clean. The couch in the room was old and stained. Our room overlooked the beach/pool it was a beautiful view. We would definitely stay there again.
