This resort is not as depicted in the pictures. While the experience was good. If you are looking for a more up to date room, this is not it. I had no towels upon check in , and then was provided towels with strings hanging off the ends. Fabric on my chairs were outdated and had holes / strings hanging down ( could have easily trimmed them and i would not have noticed). Other than the minor cosmetic differences, staff was great! Dinning was limited as some of the restaurants were closed (even on the assigned open days) Drinks/ Pool / Beach and Views worth it!

This is absolutely the worse resort, the images they are using to advertise the resort is not real. Expedia was also a scam they advertised the resort as a 8.8 rating but once thebooking was complete the rating was changed to 7.2. PLEASE STAY AWAY !!!!!! from this place it is disgusting and stink. The only thing about the resort was the workers who did there best with the limited resources they have.

Please stay away from Golden Parnassus. The staff are awesome. They are the ones that keep that place afloat. The property does not look what they projected in the pictures. The inside the room are outdated, dirty and worn out bedsheets. NO AC. I repeat NO AC. We had to change room three times . Finally we gave up because they are all the same. Do not pay for ocean view or hot tub in room. This place should close down. On Our last day, there was no running water. The outdoor pool could be contaminated because the filtering system is not working. Place worst than a Motel 6 . I would not go back to this place even they offer free nights.

Staff is great. Place needs updating. Put an ac unit like in the gym in each room; problem solved. We’ve been to the GP 16 times. If we hadn’t been lucky and got a fan the trip would have been miserable. In my opinion the owners need to seriously update the facilities and take better care of the staff. The staff is one of the main reasons we’ve come back for 16 years. Sadly many are leaving going to other resorts.

Wow! Where do I start. The pool and main attraction, beside the beach, was under filled and the water level was 6 inches below the filter inlet ports to filter the surface water resulting in a dirty pool. There were things floating on the surface that were gross and disgusting. I reported this to the front desk and 15 minutes later, there was a worker with a dustpan on a stick skimming the surface of the water in the shallow end. This pool is 3.8 feet deep in the deepest part and the water was hot, dirty, and not refreshing at all. I did not get bottled water placed in my room until my final day, so I could not have coffee in my room. The wait staff is top notch and the food was good, but the facilities are in rough shape and things that can be fixed quickly and easily were left to be unsightly. One of the elevators did not work, so it was always a long wait to use it. The kicker was that I was charged $100 USD for my guest not returning the all-inclusive bracelet to the front desk upon departure. I will not be back to this resort.

At breakfast, bugs were all over the fruit. Room service only comes every third day, unless you make a stink about it. The pool was filthy and as hot as a hot tub. The water line didn’t even go up to the filters. There was bird poop on the chairs. Only 2 out of 5 restaurants were available in the evening and the steakhouse is sat and sun only. The A/C doesn’t go below 23.5 degrees Celsius. The first half a spent my stay solo and the second half with a male friend. I was drastically treated differently from being solo to a duo. Most wait staff stopped serving me and wouldn’t make eye contact. One of the two restaurants required a ridiculous dress code that wasn’t mentioned online. Most of the food was terrible. Consuelo at the front desk was everything to me. She deserves all the praise for her kindness and effort to make me and my guest feel welcomed. Elias, waiter, never wavered in his kindness toward me. Side note for other travelers, check out resorts in the Green Zone for less dead seaweed on the shore. The ocean was impossible to get in most days. Obviously, not their fault.

My recent stay at the Golden Parnassus offered a mix of comfort and frustration. On the positive side, the staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful, which made day-to-day interactions pleasant. Room 326 was clean and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed, reliable room temperature, and a quick-working elevator nearby. The common areas were tidy, and the Paradise Buffet served a wide variety of authentically Mexican dishes. I also appreciated the quick response when calling the Spanish-language hotel number before my trip. However, these strengths were largely overshadowed by serious issues throughout the property. Communication before and during my stay was unreliable: emails went unanswered, the English-language phone system was confusing and unresponsive, and room service rarely picked up. The property was visibly run-down, with numerous out-of-order signs, outdated furnishings, and a general lack of upkeep that gave the impression of abandonment. Amenities were closed or misleading based on outdated website descriptions. The food offerings lacked options for vegetarians and vegans, and fresh juice or guacamole were absent. Attempts to upsell at check-in and check-out, combined with structural concerns and lackluster dining setups, suggested a hotel in decline. Overall, the Golden Parnassus felt neglected, in need of both aesthetic and operational overhaul, and far from the romantic or “golden" experience it advertised.

Nothing worked, it took me 4 days to get a working phone in my room. So no room service. Elevators barely worked and there steam room and sauna was down as well. The food here was absolutely disgusting. Myself and a few other guest had to get uber eats. Do not stay here you will regret it.

Nous avons eu une mauvaise expérience dans cet hotel. Des notre arrivée dans la chambre, nous avons remarqué une odeur à moisissures, ainsi qu’une chaleur ardente au sain de l’établissement. En voyant le mauvais état des draps et de la fourniture, nous avons fait la demande pour visiter la meilleure chambre de l’hôtel. Celle-ci contenait un jacuzzi sal avec des couleurs jaunâtres, alors nous avons gardé notre ancienne chambre. Dans celle-ci, le téléphone n’était pas fonctionnel. Lorsque nous avons signalé ce problème à la réception, ils nous ont dit qu’ils allaient envoyer une réparation dans les brefs délais. Après deux heures d’attente, on a appris que ce problème touchait plus de 180 chambres et qu’il se règlerait dans un mois. De plus, il n’y a pas d’eau ni de frigo dans les chambres, alors pour boire il faut descendre à chaque fois à la réception et remonter.L’eau du lavabo et de la douche sentent les égouts, ce n’est même pas une eau à minimum traitée ! Les restaurants étaient pour la plupart fermés, ce qui restreignait nos choix . Points positifs: Le personnel hyper sympa et serviable .

I would 100% recommend this hotel because the staff are absolutely incredible. They made our experience. I can’t say enough about the staff (and especially the bartenders). Our favorite restaurant was pier 12 we loved the shrimp tacos. The receptionist was extremely helpful and assisted us whenever we needed anything. Overall an amazing experience that created incredible memories.
