Southern Indiana cabin on the Ohio river. (Cannelton, Indiana)
This is quite the place, a log cabin right on the bank of the Ohio River. This property is off the “beaten path” and very remote.
The rental is very rustic looking, yet has all the amenities we could ask for; WiFi, air conditioning, stove, dishwasher, and comfortable furniture. It is truly a gem.
My only thought is that the WiFi didn’t connect well in the “far reaches” of the master bedroom. I would get a eero or something that extends the WiFi reach; other than that, the master bedroom has a California king bed, which we liked.
There are a total of 3 bedrooms. There is a bathroom on the main floor, connected to the master bedroom, and one in the upstairs area., connected to the bedroom, upstairs. The inside was designed well.
The fire pit, outside, was a nice feature. The owner provided a limited amount of firewood. If you want more, you will have to bring your own or buy it locally.
The covered porch, porch swing, and chairs, are heavy duty, and very good quality. We had no disappointments. This is a very nice place and would like to visit again sometime.
