Perfect place to relax!!

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is ideally located steps from the beach in one direction and steps from the market in the other. It doesn’t get any better!! We will be back…hopefully soon :-)

Great Place to Stay in Antibes

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Maison du Bateau. The home is well equipped and comfortable. We liked that it was in walking distance to the markets, shops, and restaurants of Old Town and only a fifteen minute walk to the rail station.

Great holiday house in old Antibes

Beautifully restored house in a great location in the old town, right next to the Picasso museum, the Market, and a stone’s throw from the sea. We enjoyed shopping in the market and cooking for ourselves as well eating out. Good for anyone who likes to holiday without a car as everything is on the doorstop, and you might struggle to park if you did have a car. We used the coastal train for our excursions, but chose to spend time in Antibes too. Very warm welcome from owners Paul and Tom. Thank you.

All mod cons in a beautiful, old building

This property is full of character, tasteful and so well equipped we could not think of anything that it doesn't have. The ancient street is peaceful and tranquil but a two minute stroll takes you to Antibes' fabulous, Provencal market and the many restaurants and bars of the old town. We loved everything about our stay and have resolved to return.

Absolutely charming!!!

Beautiful property in the center of Antibes. Very, very clean. True French interior and exterior design is outstanding. Lovely territory in the garden with a garden table and chairs. The place has everything you need from towels and beach bags to every kitchen accessory you can imagine. The English lady Susan, who greeted us, was very very nice to communicate with. Tom and Paul sent me all the details in an instant plus all the information about Antibes, superior communication. 12 stars out of 10, my best recommendations.

Incredible Antibes Rental Property

We stayed 4 nights at this property, which is wonderfully renovated while retaining the rustic old town location it deserves. Everything worked beautifully, the location is unmatched and the ease of communication and assistance with the owners and manager was fantastic. When you see the location on the map you will wrongfully assume it will be noisy because of it's proximity to great restaurants and the market. On the contrary, every night (including the weekends) was one of restful, quiet and calm sleep. The point of contact, Suzanne, was personable, flexible and had great recommendations for our stay. When we return to la Cote d'Azur we will stay in Antibes just so we can return to this property!

This is the Place to Stay on the French Rivera

Staying at Maison du Bateau for the month of March 2017 was an absolute treat. Owners Paul & Tom have created a gem of a home for all their guests while on holiday. The web site describes exactly what awaits the visitor, so I will not repeat all the amazing amentities. From the initial booking correspondence, through to the deposit payments and security deposit refund all was smooth and efficient. Even though our flight arrived four hours earlier than anticipated, Suzanne our contact was their to greet us with all the necessary information to complete our stay. Kudos to the interior designers, for the entire house, special mention on the master bedroom from the furnishings and the one window with a view of a wall of ivy and the other with streaming sunshine make for a room that can only be described as refined comfort. The second bedroom allowed for sitting at the window in the sunshine, which allows anyone to thoroughly enjoy reading and writing. And all other rooms in the house were equally enjoyable. And the skylights were an added joy. And the kitchen a delight for any cook. Antibes is definitely the place to be while in the South of France, I truly understand why Paul & Tom chose this area to be their home. It is close to the bigger cities of Nice and Cannes and the Italian border is just an hour away. And while Antibes Old Town is just as popular, still gives the feeling of peace & quiet. Taking the train and local bus is within easy walking distance, five minutes to the bus and less than fifteen minutes to the train. And if you prefer to just stay in Antibes, there are many places to sit and walk and relax. March can have fickle weather anywhere in the world, but the weather gods were on our side providing blue skies, sunshine and temperatures ranging from15-19 degrees daily except for three half days of rain. Once again, Antibes is the place to be, in one of the homes that Tom & Paul have made available for visitors. Debra

Outstanding accommodation. This place is superb.

This property is magnificently equipped and provides so many extras as well. It is luxurious and spacious and yet is next,ed into the old town in a beautiful location. 50metres away is a daily food market each morning and I think is just a few minutes more walk to bigger shops, restaurant and cafes. It is a solid 15 minute walk to the station (Gare de Antibes) which is not really possible if you have luggage. You need to use a taxi which stops nearby because it the property is on a pedestrian only street/lane way. The communication from the owners was excellent and we were met and shown around by Suzanne who who not have been more helpful. She also saw us off at the end when we left. This really is a lovely place to stay and the property is first class in every way. We would certainly stay again if in Antibes.

Perfect combination of style...location and comfort for your time in Antibes.

We recently spent a week in Maison du Bateau. Booked very far in advance with Antibes-Rental as their properties are very popular. All communications were replied to promptly and booking process very easy. Advance detailed info was very much appreciated including restaurants in case you want to pre-book. Their recommendations were very good. This stylish two level townhome has a perfect location in the heart of the old town of Antibes and I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in the city. The famous Marche Provencal is just 1/2 block away and it is the best place for shopping. We did lunch in the townhouse...all fresh from the market. We did not even begin to use all the gadgets in the kitchen...it was stocked with everything you could need as was the entire townhouse. If you have mobility issues probably not your spot as bedrooms are upstairs. There is no apt. on top and it was very quiet. There are other apt that share a courtyard. They were all very respectful of each other. The townhouse does have a small table outside but it was hot and we mostly stayed inside when home. The a/c is modern and central...none of those antique units you often find in rentals. Suzanne was the greeter and very helpful in both check in and check out ...we really had no issues so did not need to contact her. I really searched to find just the right spot in Antibes and this was it. Antibes itself also is small enough (especially in the old town) to feel comfortable but so easy to visit other spots on the coast or inland. I highly recommend Antibes-Rental and this townhouse and hope to return.

EXTRAORDINARY...A GEM OF A PLACE!!!

My wife and daughter found this wonderful place online, and when I walked in I could hardly believe my eyes: not only is the house located in the best, most centrally located part of the old town of Antibes, but it's also perfectly quiet even with the windows wide open at night (which is how we like to sleep). The house itself is a work of art: tastefully and lovingly furnished and decorated, well-appointed and yes...one might even say luxurious (but in a non-ostentatious way). To put it simply: I cannot think of a better place to stay than here if you have a week or two to explore the many wonders in this corner of the world where countless amazing sights await the curious traveler within only a short walking or driving distance of this most special home. Kudos to Tom and Paul who have done a terrific job of restoring this property to its glory days!! We will hold special memories of 14 Rue du Bateau for as long as we live...

Superb

We recently stayed at Maison du Bateau, friends had recommended a holiday in Antibes and also Antibes Rental. We were not disappointed. The location of Maison du Bateau provided easy access to the farmers market and many wonderful restaurants. It was a easy walk to the railway station making it easy to travel to other tourist spots. We loved the experience of staying in the old village. The accommodation was excellent, the owners have thought of everything. We loved the place as soon as we walked inside, the property is both stylish and beautify appointed and with its superb location we felt at home immediately. A Little Slice of Heaven

Maison du Bateau is simply ideal in every way for a stay in Antibes. The apartment exceeds ones expectations in its location, cleanliness, aesthetics, and charm. The owners have great talent in decorating, use of fine linens, tasteful toiletries, etc. Dishes, serving pieces, wine glasses, flatware and every kitchen device imaginable are thoughtfully selected. One could not ask for a better location. The old sea wall and the med are steps away in one direction, while the ancient Provencal Marche await in the opposite direction. The street is quiet and full of personality at the same time. Maison du Bateau is simply a true gem.

Five stars; comfortable, classy & well equipped!

What a superb property which lived up to all of the stellar previous reviews that other visitors had kindly provided. The location is excellent; peaceful and quaint with 50 meters in one direction to the sea and in the other direction to the Marche Provencal. Super well equipped; the best that we have ever stayed at. The furnishings are tastefully classy and the place was super comfortable. The courtyard was a welcome haven to benefit from the good weather, and I love shutters so those were an added benefit (so French!). Suzanne was a super host and the owners have a true gem on their hands. Five stars all around!

Fabulous Maison du Bateau

Maison du Bateau is superb and more spacious than it appears online. It is beautifully maintained and contains everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It's excellent location in the old town means that you are close to many fantastic restaurants, the wonderful market and coastal walks. The owners and their manager Suzanne could not have been more helpful, and we shall certainly be returning. We recommend Maison du Bateau without reservation.

Superb!

Our second stay in this property and once again just a delightful experience from start to finish. The owners Paul and Tom and manager Suzanne set an incredibly high standard that is quite frankly 'benchmark'. They understand the importance of attention to detail and continuous improvement and the result is a perfect stay in Maison du Bateau or any of their several properties. Best reccomendation? We will be back!

Amazing home from home

Myself & Tim had such a lovely time the house was fantastic, Suzanne made us so welcome when we arrived, nice bottle of wine in the fridge. The house was so clean perfect place to stay 5 stars does not seem enough going back next year. lovely & quiet the market is amazing. some lovely cheese shops, anyone wanting a quality house for a holiday this is the place to go. looking forward to seeing Suzanne again such a lovely lady.

A gorgeous holiday in a wonderful house!

Our whole experience has been superb from booking through to departure. We have been so impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of Tom and Paul, in their correspondence and the information they provide. The Maison du Bateau was perfect - everything we needed, lovely decor, immaculately cleaned plus the thoughtful extras in the welcome pack. A friendly and informative welcome from Suzanne as well. Maison du Bateau lived up to it's description and with it's location within Old Antibes it was a perfect place to stay. Perfect!

This was the perfect house in the perfect location for the perfect holiday in the sun. The house is immaculately clean with great decor (all the modern conveniences you could need) in the beautiful old town Antibes. Minutes from the beach, markets, amazing ice cream shop, restaurants and all important boulangerie (amazing fresh bread and patisseries). The house itself had everything we needed for the week including a nice chilled bottle of rose to open on our arrival. The weather was wonderful so we spent most of our time in the little court yard next to the house (breakfast, lunch and the occasional dinner). The house was easy to get to and Suzanne who met us with the keys was welcoming and made arrival and departure a breeze. This place is amazing value for money and i cant recommend it highly enough. If we are ever back in Antibes we will definitely want to stay here again. It was PERFECT!

Best family vacation ever!

My wife, our 8 year-old son, and I just LOVED this charming, spacious, and meticulously cared for apartment in old town Antibes. The place is so tastefully designed and is fully equipped with all the appliances, amenities and comforts that our family could ever want or need on vacation. It’s Old World charm meets 21st Century conveniences! The location of Maison du Bateau is unbeatable. Every morning, we’d take a short walk down some stone steps to shop for fresh fruit, eggs, and cheeses from the farmers market, then to the nearby bakery for warm baguettes and pastries (don’t miss the pain aux raisins!). There’s also a great little wine shop near the market where we procured some excellent Provençal rosès, which we enjoyed out on the apartment's lovely patio. My wife found a little shop that made delicious fois gras and mango chutney sandwiches, and our son could not get enough at the creperie or the incredible organic gelato shop– all of which is within easy walking distance of Maison du Bateau. Staying in this fabulous apartment absolutely elevated our vacation experience and we can’t recommend it highly enough!

Beautifully French and an Amazing Location

We were so impressed with Maison du Bateau. Not only have the owners thought of everything and included items at the property that really do at that finishing touch to your holiday, the care and attention you are given whilst we were there was amazing. We also loved the proximity to the Market in Antibes which afforded us the opportunity to eat beautiful fresh food every day, and the beach was a 5 minute walk away. Wholeheartedly recommend this house - I can only wish that it was my own home!

Amazing house on pedestrian street in old town!!

What an awesome spot! The house is very well furnished - kitchen is super equipped with everything you can ask for. Great quality linens and finishing touches - lots of great antiques mixed with modern amenities and fresh design. Spotless! We stayed for a week with our two young girls and it was the perfect location to walk to everything! We only took our car out once to visit Monaco for the day - otherwise, we walked to the beaches, the market (literally down the stairs), restaurants - it's all right there. So many beautiful pedestrian streets and shops - we enjoyed evening walks with the girls and explored a different area every night. The "secret" rooftop at the Picasso Museum down the way surprised us with magnificent views. Morning espressos in the garden were a highlight. Correspondence with the owner Tom were always answered immediately, and we were 110% impressed with everything! Thank you for a wonderful week! We would return and recommend to our family and friends (in fact, we already have!)
