The hotel itself is in a lovely area with great views. The pools were great with loads of sun beds! We were lucky that we had a fairly good view and it was lovely to have a balcony. Aircon was good.
However, the room was unclean when we got there, the wardrobe broken and our bath wouldn’t drain. We spoke to reception who said they would send a technician to fix the wardrobe and the bath but no one came. We visited with another couple, and they had exactly the same problems with their room.
Additionally, there was a sign in the room we could leave on our door to ask for our room to be made up. We put this on our door everyday, and the room was never done. We eventually spoke to reception to ask for it because we had run out of clean towels and toilet paper, but were told that it would cost 25 euros. No one had told us this when we checked in and it seemed strange that they would leave us with a sign to put on the door. 25 euros for a room turnover also is extremely expensive.
The kitchen was small but useful to have, and we were able to make some meals there. It’s not stocked with very much, just some mismatched crockery and cutlery. Once again, it wasn’t clean.
Overall, all of us agreed we would not stay again. Everything felt quite unclean and was falling to pieces. Staff were not very willing to help. However, it was a good base for exploring the area and would definitely recommend staying in Antibes!
