The Robyn’s Nest offers a unique, one-of-a-kind, off grid mountain top experience! Relax peacefully on the front porch while taking in the breath-taking views of Pikes Peak and surrounding scenery. Enjoy the intimate, rustic adventure of life in an old style cabin. Located 35 minutes north of Cañon City by the beautiful Royal Gorge and 40 minutes South of Divide this is truly a Colorado gem, deep in the heart of the Gold Belt Scenic Byway
This custom, hand-made 250 sq ft cabin is set high on a mountain at 8900 feet and offers the perfect adventure for 1 or 2 (and bring Rover - we are pet friendly here!) It is connected to a solar power system so when the sun is up and for a few hours after dark, it has basic electricity for lights & phone chargers (most do get high quality cell reception), a wood stove for heat (firewood supplied),a high quality composting toilet and a brand new full size bed for sitting and sleeping. There is a small table, sink, refrigerator, microwave and a single butane burner for basic cooking and a charcoal grill outside along with dishes and cookware. Please be aware, there is NO SHOWER and limited running water so plan to work around that. We do provide a 15 gallon tank of fresh, filtered water that is attached to the sink via pump. We can refill your water whenever needed.
Please be aware that if the composting toilet is not used correctly we will charge a $50 fee. They are very hard to clean out when used incorrectly. There are step by step instructions posted above the toilet. Please reach out if you have any questions. Sometimes we do not leave peat moss in the cabin when we are running low. If this is the case, don't worry about that step.
