It is so nice to have friendly people greet you after a really long travel day! Not only were the rooms clean, they had comfortable bedding and plenty of really nice pillows. “The vending machines look really nice, but they don’t work. They charged my card 8x. I called the hotel to figure out what happened. The first gentleman dismissed it, and said it wasn’t a big deal. They’ll just “fall off”. I waited a week, and they didn’t. I called back again and talked to the GM. She kept interrupting me while I was speaking. She seemed so bothered that I called about something so minuscule. I will have to wait weeks for them to do anything. The stay itself was okay. The pool……

“I first want to say the owners are very nice. I do think they wanted us to feel comfortable and welcome. The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together. It does have such potential to be amazing if there are some changes made.
