“This VRBO has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Connecticut. The view and relaxing patio overlook paddlers on the Farmington River. The beds are comfortable and the furnishing are very pleasant. The little village of Collinsville provides wonderful trails to stroll. Several restaurants and music venues were fun, but the Farmer's Market on Sundays in the summer is not to miss. Carol, the host, lives next door, and can be reached easily. This was my second stay here and I would not……

“This is a beautiful place to stay and Carol was an excellent host, very communicative and welcoming.”

“Cute and cozy home away from home! We loved our stay and all the nice features there were!! Everything was neat and clean and host was super amazing and helpful! We definitely will choose this place again if we’re ever in the area.”

“Our review of the property at Sun Filled Lake House Living property from July 10 to July 18, 2026.Overall, we had a wonderful time. The property looked exactly like the pictures, and we absolutely loved the character of the old-style cottage. The setting nestled in the woods was beautiful, and having two outdoor sitting areas was a great feature. We particularly enjoyed spending our mornings having coffee on the front patio, which quickly became our favorite spot. We also spent a great day at……

“The cottage is very cozy, private, and in a beatiful setting. We really appreciated the upgrades that made our stay comfortable. The fenced-in yard was great for our dog. Take a note of a stone floor on the lower level. We had to cover it to be not too cold for the dog to lie on (in late October). The location is right on the water for kayaking and close to some well maintained trails for biking and hiking.”

“Once we found the house it was very warm & cozy. The mini- muffins on the counter was a bonus. House mailbox was 87 but address was 89 that you only see if door is closed which it wasn't on 1st 2 passes. Limited exterior lights made coming back at night a challenge. ”

“My unit was exactly as described. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return again. ”

“We do not drop poor reviews lightly. We rented a two unit house for 5 nights for 3,000. Out confirmation said we would have the place to ourselves. Instead, we had noisy construction crews on site, without any warning. When we complained and specifically asked that no one be on site for the remainder of our stay, the host agreed. That is not what happened. The crews showed up daily, sawing through brick and mortar in what appeared to be an addition. This all happened right outside our door,……

“Great location and well equipped. We will be back”

“Really love this place. Excellent kitchen and back porch!”

“We really enjoyed our stay and the check-in/out process was easy. The location, decor, and parking were great. We were very grateful there wasn’t a list of cleaning or chores to do before we left. I don’t know if this is the best property for elderly people. The stairs are hard to navigate and don’t have a bannister all the way up, the rugs and thresholds between rooms are tripping hazards, the floors slant, and the level of the bottom of the tub is lower than then floor. These are all things……

“It was a nice place to stay that was close to West Hartford Center.”

“Nice place”

“I didn’t realize there’s no cable/smart tv”

“It was great!”

“A very pleasant 3 day stay”

“Great place downtown Hartford! Clean and quiet and minutes from everything! My only issue was that it claims to be fully furnished but there is no iron or steamer. Guests are often traveling in for events so having that on hand is essential. Other than that all was wonderful!”

“Blake needed to provide the entry information in a timely manner; we spent over an hour trying to reach him to get access to the property.the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and the towels were harsh and small. The location was exactly what I needed and was convenient for my stay.TV choices were very limited and couldn't get my Netflix to log onto the tv. so i just watched youtube.”
