“My room had a terrible smell I have to buy room deodorizer to help eliminate the smell. After a long drive to arrive at the hotel I could not use the shower since they did not clean the tub. The tub was very dirty that I could not use it the first day it’s was cleaned the next day. The shower curtain was very dirty with black mould of over use and the whole bottom was black with red that shows the amount of use and not washed. I arrived and hour early I asked politely if I could check in since I……

“Overall, found the site needing / or conducting renovations. Badly needed for this aged facility. Definitely not worth the $$$$. The restaurant had a good menu and friendly staff. As was the front desk.”

“North Star was so beautiful . We had an ocean view room which was amazing ( thank you Mrs MacDonald for the upgrade) . All the staff were awesome especially Colin and Justin who own this wonderful resort. All the staff never stopped seeing that everyone was well looked after. Hope one day to go back for longer, already miss the place.”

“Did not know that there were so many stairs to get to and from the bachelor apt., However Hosts were there at the time we arrived to check on things and graciously helped us up the stairs with our bags ! We really appreciated their friendliness and kindness after a long day . The oatmeal cookies that were left for us as a special treat were fantastic and waking up to a beautiful view with Canada geese on the lawn by the lake was amazing!”

“Everything we needed, the only drawback was the floor in the middle of the cabin was the high point, doors to bedroom didn’t close properly and one bed one person had to sleep up against the wall to stop from rolling out of bed”

“I really enjoyed being right on the lake with access to kayaks. It’s the perfect spot for a good few to spend a quiet getaway. The town over is about 8 minutes away with lots of unique places to visit. Plus the beds are very comfortable. Furhermore, if you are considering a winter getaway I believe it would be a fantastique stay for that as well with the quaint electric fire place.”
