"This place was terrible. To start, they tried to make me pay again when I already paid online. I had to speak to the owner on the phone who lied to me about it and was extremely rude. I booked two private rooms and they tried to make me share a room with another guest. I refused because I paid more to have my own room. They do not provide wifi like is advertised and when I pressed the owner, he gave me one coupon for 100mb internet for two rooms (4 people). I told him it was advertised online as...

"Everything was wonderful! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The Italian restaurant was fantastic—easily one of the highlights of our stay. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and I highly recommend taking some time to walk through the gardens. You may even spot a tortoise or two along the way! The drinks at the bar were delicious, and the overall atmosphere of the property was relaxing and welcoming. It’s a truly beautiful hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back! 😊"
"We enjoyed staying over, as our flight was very early the next day. I was impressed with the room, as everything was clean. Thank you, and next time we will stay over again!"
"Can't say enough about this remodeled hotel. The staff were just amazing and friendly from the maid staff, restaurant workers, bellmen, and the reception desk team. Our room was very quiet even though it was right along the canal. The breakfast options were great from continental, to hot/cold buffet, to order ala carte. The location is easy and safe to get to the main wharf with 2 different walking options (1 included no stairs) that take 10-20 minutes depending on where you want to go. Parking was free and simple, but with the wharf so close we didn't have to drive, find parking, and pay for parking there. We even boarded the hop on/hop off canal boat tour right at the hotel. We loved the hotel so much that we extended our original 4 night stay an additional 5 nights. We would stay here again."
"Staying on the Executive Floor is the only way to go. You are pampered from the moment you arrive. On arrival you can wait in the club having breakfast and other refreshments until your room is ready. Each evening from 5:00-7:00 there is happy hour with a buffet of interesting canapés that vary throughout the week. This was also a fun way to try some South African wines and liquor. The sparkling white was our favorite. Our reservation included breakfast and dinner. The dinner was five star outstanding. The fillet was comparable to a five star steakhouse. Service was spot on. Dinner was a leisurely pace which was perfect after a day of touring. This was our second stay at the TAJ Cape Town and we would always stay here if returning."
