「This adorable home had absolutely everything you can dream of. It was incredibly clean and well appointed down to Keurig pods with little International delight creamer packets. It’s very private with big trees all around. You really feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but not far from town. We had some of the best dinners only a short 3 mile drive from the house. 「Best way to describe this cozy little place. We've stayed before & will book, again, next time we travel to Clayton. In fact, we won't travel to Clayton unless we can stay here. It's completely charming, close to the Boat Museum, an easy walk to the central shopping/eating area, and a long stone's throw to The River. Communication with the landlady is easy & thorough. The wineries were very good, and the fishing off of the dock was great, we caught perch, catfish, large and small mouth bass. Location was perfect right between downtown Clayton and Alex bay. Susan and Ben responded quickly if we had a question. I would recommend this cottage.」

「A nice place to stay for a beautiful view. The host was friendly and accommodating. The house itself was a mix of new and old where they had remodeled some of the house, but not all of it. The view was amazing, but unfortunately for us we were there at a bad time because there was a constant swarm of May Flies that kept us from enjoying the balcony. I would stay there again.」

「Wow! This place really exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a quiet spot right on the water, this place is perfect. The host provided everything we could possibly need, and the comfortable beds were so perfect. My kids loved all of the outdoor space, and we all enjoyed the deck, the two level dock, the screened porch, and the fire pit area - so many spots to relax and enjoy! This place is an absolute gem.」

The location of the house to the boat ramp, bars and restaurants was perfect and the ability to dock the boats at the house was really convenient.
