Lovely house

We really enjoyed our stay at this house it is very well equipped and very close to la Cité. Perfectly located for visiting and strolls by the river Aude. (Plenty of games and good WiFi kept teenagers happy when indoors)

Absolutely wonderful location, within very quick walking distance of La Cite. Owner communication was great, on site support was wonderful. Facilities were good. Lots of nice touches, like providing adapters for sockets! Kitchen facilities were of a very high standard. Don't forget to play Carcassonne!

The apartment is lovely, Well equipped and very well positioned.

We loved the apartment. It was very homely and in a sweet part of the old city right under the Cite walls. An easy walk to the medieval ramparts above where there are lots of restaurants - and tourists! About a ten minute walk takes you to a number of restaurants on Rue Trivalle and bars. It's a little way from the town centre (about a 25 minute walk and about a 30 minute walk to the Carcassonne station. The hosts Anna and Ian are easily contactable and very helpful for everything. We really enjoyed staying there.

Great with just a couple problems!

Well equipped except needs regular coffee maker. Great location and garage for the car was great. Overall, house was damp; noticed mold on ceiling in entrance way.

Good Location but Disappointing Accommodation

We liked the location but the property was very disappointing. The key holder met us at the property and communication was difficult as her English was very limited. To start she had difficulty opening the door, so much so that we only used the garage door, the smell as you entered was very damp and musty. We didn’t use downstairs shower room as the shower enclosure was very ‘mouldy’. The wooden duckboards looked very uninviting. The kitchen was well-equipped. The oven was not clean and the wooden breakfast bar was tacky. The bed linen and pillows look old and the fitted sheet bobbly. The mattresses were about 2 ins deep. The upstairs bathroom was in a poor decorative state but it did function. The garage was a bonus. We enjoyed Carcassonne and made the best of our holiday but, in all honesty, could not recommend this property. I was surprised that Vrbo were displaying it on their site.

Estancia en Carcassone

Estuvimos 50 minutos esperando la llegada de Pierre y su esposa para que nos dieran las llaves y nos enseñaran todo. Tenemos dos pequeños y tuvimos a esperar en la calle a baja temperatura, no fue agradable. El apartamento tiene de todo, está muy bien, aunque la limpieza en general podría mejorarse. Había pelos de anteriores inquilinos, aceite en la cocina... Por lo demás, todo bien. Gracias! equipado, y la ubicación es excelente.

Excellent emplacement pour une conférence dans la cité. Maison très agréable et bien équipée. Quartier très calme. Malheureusement, le système de remise des clés n'est pas au point. Accueil chaleureux et sympathique une fois le problème des clés réglé.

Buen sitio con todas las utilidades necesarias y muy cerca de la ciudad medieval

Ha estado todo muy bien. El sitio se ajusta al anuncio y no nos ha faltado de nada. Las instrucciones muy precisas y la persona que nos acogió a la llegada tuvo muchísima paciencia. Además la situación es inmejorable, al pie de las murallas y a menos de 10 minutos andando de la Bastida de San Luis. Un 10.

Location idéalement située

Le séjour a été une grande réussite grâce notamment à la location très bien située au pied de la citadelle (la cité est magnifique et très animée la nuit), et proche des villages alentours permettant de belles visites et de bonnes surprises.

Bon rapport qualité-prix

La petite maison est pratique, très bien placée et tout à fait agréable pour 3 ou 4 personnes. La communication avec Anna avant l'arrivée était très sympathique et toujours rapide. La remise des clés sur place par des gardiens s'est très bien passée. Les lits sont faits à l'arrivée, ils sont bons, le linge propre, assez d'oreillers et de serviettes de toilette. Nous nous sommes vite sentis comme chez nous. Pratique d'avoir un garage dans cette rue! Des lunettes de toilette de meilleure qualité (pas en plastique) et plus stables seraient un bon investissement pour les 2 WC. De même il serait bon d'expliquer comment s'ouvre la porte du poêle à bois (nous étions là début avril) car nous avons cherché longtemps à deux jusqu'à trouver le mécanisme... Nous pouvons conseiller la maison sans retenue! Le prix est très raisonnable. Merci Anna, Ian et les S.

Very convenient and comfortable

Property was clean and spacious - the garage was a great benefit. Very well positioned just outside the citadel walls, close to the porte d'Aude, with a good épicerie a handy short walk away. 15 minutes to the main town (which had a great market) and a further 5 minutes to the Canal du Midi. Lots of vineyards are in close proximity (by car), with loads of great cycle routes from the house.

Emplacement idéal mais...

Idéalement situé au pied de la cité médiéval de Carcassonne, la propriété n'avait qu'une salle d'eau de fonctionnelle et une toilette fuyait légèrement durant notre séjour. De plus, nous sommes pointilleux sur la propreté générale et ce n'était pas du tout à notre niveau. 😒 À part cela, le reste des prestations était très convenable. 👍

Quel dommage...

Nous avons découvert une belle maison, bien équipée et très bien placée au pied de la cité médiévale. Mais la propreté est vraiment à revoir, nous avons été obligé de faire le ménage à notre arrivée. Notamment la salle du bain du bas qui n'avait pas été faite : douche très sale avec trace de moisi, cheveux et poils sur le sol et dans la douche. Pour ne citer que cela... C'est vraiment dommage !

Espléndida situación, espléndida Carcassonne!

Hemos disfrutado mucho de nuestra estancia en Carcassonne y el alquiler de esta vivienda ha sido todo un acierto. Se trata de una casa muy espaciosa al pie de la Cité equipada con todo lo necesario para no tener que preocuparte por nada. La cocina super equipada con todo en perfecto estado. Una casa llena de detalles como una completa explicación por escrito de cualquier duda que te pueda surgir, libros, juegos, música, ... Así da gusto. Gracias anfitriones.

Très bon séjour au pied de la cité de Carcassonne

Cette maison de ville avec garage est parfaite pour visiter Carcassonne et rayonner sur les châteaux du pays cathare . Tout se fait à pied d’ici . L’heure de départ est souple , parfait pour une famille en vacances sans horaire précis. Je recommande !
