I'm sorry your feel the way you do. We work hard here at this little OLD motel. This coming July, will make 2 years since we have started here. I'm sure you know with your own home how expensive things cost and with this being our slow season, we can't possible keep throwing food away in hopes that someone will be there to eat it. Maybe one day you will understands that there are more things at play than what meets the eye. Have a wonderful day.

Good afternoon, If you read the policy on this platform you will see that it is a 48hr cancelation policy and regardless if you show up or not, we charge your card and put thru a preauthorization that has been released. Giving a 1 star review when you never even showed up is really unfortunate and unfair. Have a nice day

We appreciated our stay at the Cardston Inn. The price was very nominal and the room we stayed in was clean, and it appeared to have been recently renovated. When we called with an incidental need the host responded immediately.

Clean but sparse room; outside door didn’t lock properly; toilet made banging noise all night long; would appreciate a clothes hook on back of bathroom door. No hair dryer, loved the no carpeted floor. Food should be covered in breakfast room as lots of flies in there.

Filthy, smelly, rundown
I'm not sure who is giving this place a high review except maybe family and friends. Or like someone else said on other reviews they had to have been paid to do it. This place smelled so bad i could hardly stand to be in the room. I had my husband take our clothes back out to the car. The owner said that they can't control what people cook in the rooms with a kitchenette. But this was more than that. It was that deep filthy smell that you can only get rid of by tearing out the filth stained carpets and stripping the walls and replacing the drapes. The whole place was run down and ghetto. I don't want to harm anyone's business but to save others from what i went through i must tell the truth. I have no reason to tell otherwise. I would have slept in my car before I slept in that filth. Fortunately we found a room elsewhere that was much, much better. We lost our money for our 2 night stay but it was worth it to not have to stay there.

The information of the property says they are at the front desk until 10:30 pm. I tried calling since 10 pm for late check in, because I didn't have network in the Banff national park, and they didn't answer, didn't let me stay, and charged me for the night, and said they were upholding to their cancelation policy.

I'm sorry you feel that way. We do answer our phones all day including thru the night. I'm not sure where you called but it wasn't to me. We close our office at 10pm and there are notes on the door how to reach us thru the night. If you didn't follow the information on the door or ring the door bell, I can't help you.

Lovely lady running the front desk! Also loved Bear (her dog), the best morning greeter. A very dog friendly place, very clean and lots of space. Great location too if you are planning on visiting Waterton.

The owner states they are renovating the motel a little at a time, but our rooms had not yet been renovated. They were old and very worn out. The carpet was really dirty. We had only one thin blanket, and the heating and air conditioning wasn't working, and it was pretty cold at night. On the plus side, the bedding and the bathroom was clean, the breakfast was nice, and the owners were very nice.

The owners have only been here one year and are in the process of updating the establishment. Rooms are clean and done nicely. I am sure when they are done remodeling this place will be very nice.
