Everything was good about hotel maybe the only thing was our heating didnt work in room but we did have a heater that plugs in socket so that kept the room cosy, it was central to all shops and bars, staff lovely. Will be back to visit again xx

Ended up getting room 115 & the outside was extremely noisy with people shouting outside from the bar. I telephoned reception to be moved to another room & was told that was not possible due to being fully booked. Toilet chain would not flush. When I handed the key back to receptionist upon checking out I was asked how was your stay. I explained the situation & was told it would be looked into. Still waiting…

Staff are always friendly and helpful. They remembered me from a previous visit. Rooms are clean, well presented and accessible (lift). Hotel is right outside the station, and a short distance from the centre of town. Breakfast offers continental or full English (best bacon ever). Loved playing solitaire in the bar - small selection of games/packs of cards available. Lovely place to stay. Highly recommended.

Great hotel in a fantastic location for the city and train station. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The ladies on reception made a real difference by leaving my boy sweets whilst we were out due to him missing out on trick or treating. Will definitely be back again

This hotel has a lot of cobwebs in the bedroom’s light fixtures. The room was extremely hot. We were told to open the window but, even doing that did not cool the room and let all of the railroad and street noise in. The door to our room stuck every time we tried to open it. We had to use shoulder force to open it. Not good for older people.

This has obviously has money spent on updating since I last stayed here. Was very impressed that they had a promotion about not changing Towels and you get a free drink. Service was just about Average reported TV not working and Window stuck open and nobody dealt with it in three days. Checking out got attitude from reception and when asked to buy was told bar was closed as I was now non guest (by same lady foing my check out.

The location was excellent for us due to traveling by train, as it was right outside the station. The two ladies at the front desk were amazing and had a good sense of humour. Our room looked out to an amazing view of the Citadel. The beds were really comfortable and big for twins. The breakfast was great.Walking distance to shopping was convenient. I just wish we would have booked extra nights here. The only downside was the bathroom, as it was in need of some repair.

Go somewhere else!

Room adequate but was internal with no view, Bathroom small and had no hot water for shower in evening. Breakfast was buffet style and absolute disaster with staff not refilling food and had to be asked to do so as there were empty trays with nothing to choose from. When they did eventually refill, the bacon and sausage were cold. Very disappointing overall as this was for a birthday treat. :(

Great and friendly staff, nice bar. The Saturday night - the nosiest room I have ever stayed in - right next to night clubs - constant and very loud noise until 3.00-4.00 in the evening - sleep impossible.

Unser Zimmer war schon deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. z.B. Alte Badewanne mit festem Duschkopf. Ansonsten sauber, ausreichend groß mit dem unausweichlichen Teppichboden. Personal sehr freundlich. Frühstück in Büffetform sehr gut und reichlich. Hoteleigene Bar auch gut. Hoteleigener Parkplatz vorhanden, aber kostenpflichtig.

Traditional Hotel

Traditional old hotel, very clean and excellent staff. Room was large and comfy bed, breakfast nice choice and plentiful food. Only complaint was that we stayed at weekend and noisy outside until small hours from people gathering at taxi rank nearby hotel entrance.
