Nice stay!

Nice stay in a convenient location. Has stairs, which I didn’t realize when I booked it but it was still ok for my sister to get around with her cane. We would stay here again.

Awesome VRBO rental

My family and I had an amazing stay. We came to NM to visit our son. This house was very clean and cozy. Would definitely book again when we come back that way.

Good spot for exploring the nearby national parks

Nice enough - lots of space. The only complaint was the steep stairs to the bedrooms and no baby gate. There was also a rather big step to get to the shower and toilet which seemed a bit odd/dangerous especially for kids/people with mobility issues.

The stay was fantastic!! The AC kept the entire upstairs cool and the 3 bedrooms in the basement stayed extremely cool— almost cold! But don’t worry, there are extra blankets in the hall closet! The kitchen was clean and tidy and cooking was a breeze! The ice maker did not work during our stay so we did buy a LOT of ice for our drinks!! The back yard is fenced in and our four legged creature (Echo) loved it! Plenty of room to chase her ball! The neighborhood is quiet- next to a school, across from a church, and we had no issues or problems! There is a gas station/quickstop, grocery store, and a CVS all within a few blocks. Traffic was light, and driving was easy. I would definitely stay again! The house and neighborhood are fantastic!!

Great house

Well maintained home in very walkable area. Located about a 30 minute drive from the caverns. Enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Great Experience!

We loved our stay in The Jalapeño! Cozy furnished kitchen and living space with cool bedrooms. Yard was nice for the dogs to stretch their legs. Grocery 2 blocks away was a great plus. An half an hour from the caverns and an hour from the mountains--would stay again 10/10

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay! The kids especially appreciated the board games every night after our outings. The location is phenomenal. Just a half block from CVS, a block from Albertsons, and only a 4 minute drive the the water park and Pecos Lake rec area. We actually rode our bikes from the house to the river and did the bike trail that goes around it. We had a great time, and it was a great house to come back to each night!

Southwest Charm

The house was very comfortable. Every bedroom had its own thermostat so everybody could sleep comfortably. The kitchen was adequately equipped and had a nice outdoor grill. The Southwest decor was fitting for our trip.

Adorable Adobe

Clean, comfortable stay in a great centralized location in Carlsbad. This house was so awesome. Very spacious and very clean. Had everything we needed for a few days stay. Tons of outdoor activities close by. I would highly recommend this property and will be booking again in the future. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. 5 stars!

Carlsbad Cavern Getaway

The Jalapeño was a great place for our family to e hit the sites in Carlsbad, NM. We went to the caverns, the water park, and enjoyed just visiting at the house. It is in a great area near the pharmacy, restaurants, and a great grocery store. We did have some struggles with the WiFi but it helped us unplug !

We enjoyed our stay!

The home was easy to find & the code/key was easy retrieve making entry into the home easy as well. Compared to some places we’ve stayed where that’s been hard. The home was clean and well organized. My only complaint was the lack in availability of cleaning products as we were traveling with children and I like to always clean up. The home was pet friendly so being able to travel with our dog was nice. The AC also kept the home cool, which being in the summer, in New Mexico, makes a big difference. All in all we had a wonderful experience and stay and would recommend it to others with families/children or a pet.

Carlsbad visit

Nice property good location - there was a lack of paper products only half roll of TP in each bathroom no extra rolls. Up stairs was too hot we opened the doors to cool it down. Wi-Fi instructions given needs to be up dated to match the router.

Remodeled adobe near CVS and Albertsons

This house is an adobe style home on the outside but is remodeled inside. It has a large fenced yard for a dog or small children. There is a cement deck in the backyard to put outdoor furniture to sit outside. The 3 bedrooms are downstairs in a daylight basement which means that the rooms should be cooler in the summer--important in a place where 100 degrees is common. One full bathroom downstairs and a toilet room upstairs. The downstairs bath is large but awkward as the toilet and bath are elevated from the rest of the room because of plumbing. Living area is large and has 2 couches. Separate dining room has a large table and 6 chairs. House was clean and beds were comfortable.

Nice place! Yard was amazing!

The jalapeño house is wonderful. Exactly as described. Everything working well. I was surprised there were no washcloths, paper towels, hand soap or toilet paper, so we had to run out and buy them, and the carpeting is a little tattered. I appreciate having a place that allows dogs and the big fenced in yard was awesome! Amenities were spectacular. Nice distance from attractions. The area isn’t very walkable though, it’s not a great neighborhood so we didn’t feel comfortable but the river area is beautiful. Nice plane. We’d stay again! Thanks!!

Beautiful home & wonderful stay!

This home was beautiful & the communication with the host was quick & easy. We felt like we were at home even though we were more than 7 hours from home. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood across a small church & behind a CVS. Everywhere we went was like 5 minutes from the home, except the Caverns that was more like 30 minutes.The home was nice & cool despite the warm temperatures outside. The laundry room is located outside the front door, but it was not an inconvenience to do 3 loads of laundry. The home was clean inside & out. The half bath upstairs was convenient for our family. All three rooms located downstairs were large & comfortable. The oversized downstairs bathroom was an added bonus! We truly enjoyed our stay & when we return to Carlsbad this will be the home we choose to stay at again. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great stay in central location.

My father and I were traveling through New Mexico with our 2 dogs. The Jalapeño House was centrally located near a grocery store, CVS, some nice restaurants, and park along the Pecos River . It had a large fenced yard which allowed our ups to run and play. There are stickers so was their paws. The neighborhood is quiet which I liked. The house itself was beautifully decorated and provided everything you need to host. The 3 bedrooms and full bath are located downstairs. Bedding was comfortable and cozy. We did have to change our a battery in a smoke alarm that started chirping around 4am. It scared the pups and I spent the rest of time upstairs until CVS opened. The bi-fold door to the upstairs half bath came off its track, but my father travels with his tools and was able to fix it. If/when we're back in Carlsbad I'll look for the Jalapeño House first.
