Great Vacay Stay!

We loved the place! The pool was nice a short walk to the beach! Be sure to put the flyer to the place in your car because you WILL get towed we did an cost us 260 bucks our paper flew between the seats so make sure it’s visible. Some updates could be made but overall great place an great stay!

Great location! A little TLC needed on the condo

We loved the location to the beach and downtown. Pool was very nice. The condo itself needs some TLC. Tub was clogged, electrical needs to be looked at. Was a little dated, but the location is worth it. Most concerned about the practical things that need to be fixed.

Lovely views and pool

The location was great, unit clean- loved the pool and the beach view is lovely. Could use some updates. After a 6 hour drive and stopping to get keys and passes before 5, I got to the unit, drug luggage up 3 flights to find the keys wouldn’t work. I jostled and tried for 10 minutes, and had to call the office, panicking about getting in- I finally managed to get it open. Next day, same problem, I even went and bought a can of WD40- Joey came and it was near impossible to work. I ended up leaving it unlocked when I wasn’t there. Couldn’t risk being locked out. This really needs to be fixed. Just know there isn’t a shred of paper products, kitchen spices or supplies, soaps etc. It’s very bare bones.

You get what you pay for I guess

Wow where do I begin on this one. I have rented multiple times with VRBO and had good outcomes but this property is the worst by far. It is clear the owner does not put a dime back into this property unless absolutely forced to. We contacted the local management to address some unsafe conditions and they were very responsive in doing so. We thank them for being so responsive . There were 2 unsafe outlets that were addressed and the maintenance man took care of a couple other problems as well. A professional door person was set up to address the sliding glass door issue as the glass was coming out of the door frame. It’s a shame because the location is great and the pool is nice and with just a little bit put in to this place it would be great. Like getting rid of the dirty stained carpet and the nasty blankets. A little paint would also go a long way. A king size bed would also work better in this unit as the queen is too small for 2 people. The local management did explain that it was “Economy priced” which now I know means could be a dump. I don’t mind outdated items but the rental should be clean and safe at any price! I would also add that this is not a place for anyone who has mobility issues as there are lots of stairs and no elevator on site. Let me suggest taking the money you would have spent on this unit and spending it somewhere else.

Great last minute vacation!

We were set to go to Charleston and then Hurricane Irma ruined our plans. We booked this place last minute & it was ready for checkin the next day. The check-in and check-out was very easy. We enjoyed many of the local attractions and restaurants. The condo was great, the view was amazing, we had a great vacation to Carolina Beach!

Info about the condo

Every room in the apartment I stayed in was very nice.The bed in the bedroom and bottom bunk were very comfortable to lay and sleep in.The outside porch was very nice to sit on, watch the sunrise and listen to the ocean.There was a few problems that really need fixed that were there before and after my stay.1, when trying to hang a towel on the bathroom towel rack like it's made to be used for, it falls out of the wall. so whoever was there last put it back up just sitting in the hole, like I did also.2, almost half of the springs on the pull out couch platform are missing, which makes it extremely uncomfortable and painful to lay on, which ended up making me sleep on the floor.3, the vent covers have rust all over them which makes it very scary to adjust the direction of the flow (because I'm afraid that I might break it) . One of the vent covers weren't all the way in the wall like it's supposed to be.The top bunk feels like there is a long piece of wood that you can feel going down the center of it. Which is why none of us ended up sleeping on it.

Good location

If you’re looking for something that’s right on the beach and not spending a lot of time in this is a great place. Nothing really wrong with the interior just a little dated and the bathroom could definitely use a little work. That being said, I don’t go on vacation to stay in the room. The view/location is excellent, easy access to the beach and just minutes from bars/restaurants. Overall a good stay.

Nice but lacking

This condo was nice but it could be better cleaned. Iron, ironing board and hair dryer were listed as amenities, but these items weren’t in the condo. Being right on the beach and close to beach accesss was wonderful. Perfect size for 2 people.

Great location

Ive been staying at sea colony units since 1991 they're all pretty awesome. 22b could use a little updating and maybe some repairs. At least one outlet had no cover, around the shower/ tub had some cracking and paint peeling. Also, im sure most units are like this but almost all the outlets being wired to switches can be frustrating when you turn the lights out to sleep and the alarm clock is no longer powered and your phone etc does not charge.

A total disaster

Check in was easy since we arrived after hours. Make sure you display your parking pass at all times, if not your car will be towed. Your parking pass has all your information as to where your staying, condo number and the dates you will be staying. With that said we took our parking pass off the dashboard when we went to the grocery store. That was for our safety. We forgot to display the parking pass and the HOA lady had our vehicle towed. The tow bill was $260 plus the lyft charge!!! Maybe the HOA should take vehicle info prior to check in so this wouldn't happen. I could understand this if these where high end condos but thats not the case. This condo needs a complete remodel and things updated like the leaky refrigerator. It had a bowl that we had to empty that was placed in to catch the water leaking inside the refrigerator. Walls are paper thin you could hear the neighbors above you and beside you. The front door was a pain to lock and unlock. We wont waste our money staying here again.

Great location!! Property management got right back to us with any questions we had! Pool was wonderful! Beach was great just a short walk! Loved that it had a storage closet for beach things! Beds were a little hard and shower head wasn’t the best to bath kids in. But it had everything we needed for a great price!

Comfortable convenient and well priced

My husband and I stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. It’s located at a really convenient location within the complex to get out to the beach and overall it’s a comfortable unit. It’s perfect for two people and it could additionally handle a couple of small kids on the bunk beds as well. I personally wouldn’t recommend more than that unless you don’t mind being in each other’s personal space. If you’re looking for a renovated unit then this is not that but it does have the necessities. It was really clean which holds a lot of weight in my book. The kitchen has the basics although coming from someone who actually used the kitchen multiple times, it could use some updates to tools and gadgets. The cutting board was no larger than a plate and there was no chef’s knife so bring your own. But if you don’t cook, this won’t bother you. The unit would be even better with some updates in general. But nothing was a deal breaker for me and I’m particular. From a cost/quality ratio this was a good deal for us and if you want a clean comfortable unit that is convenient and priced well then I’d recommend staying here.

View is perfect; check to make sure balcony door has been fixed.

The property location is perfect, and if the pool had been open, the amenities would have been great. Call the property management company to make sure the pool is open. It was closed during our stay and they did not inform us beforehand. Before booking this condo please confirm that the door to the balcony has been fixed. We could barely open and close it.

Our stay was satisfactory

This property is in a great location with easy access to the beach and beautiful ocean views if you stay on the 2nd level or higher on the ocean side, but the condo itself (22B) could use some improvements and updating. Luckily, we spend most of our time outdoors and sightseeing while on vacation, but if you like to spend a lot of time indoors, and if you are traveling as a group larger than 2 people, you might want to stay in a more recently updated unit. This place sleeps six, but it only has one actual bed and a single bedroom and one bathroom. The two bunk beds in the hallway would probably be fine for very small (lightweight) children but not okay for average sized adults. I was traveling with my mom and my 20-year old daughter. We are all around 130 pounds. I let my mom have the bedroom and my daughter and I took the bunkbeds the first night, but they were SO LOUD every time one of us moved and I was convinced that the upper bunk where my daughter slept was going to collapse onto me the entire night. So the next evening, she and I decided to sleep on the pull-out sofa bed instead, and it was somewhat less noisy, but the mattress pad on it looked like it came from the scene of a crime (so we removed it and covered the mattress with clean towels before we put the sheets on it), and one part of the bed was raised into a peak, while the foot-part of the mattress had fallen through the supports and hung down. I am not someone that typically complains or has a hard time sleeping anywhere, but the only other option was sleeping in the floor. However, my mom said the bed in the bedroom was comfortable. The air conditioner and other appliances worked well. It's nice that the unit has a washer and dryer. And the balcony is large with a nice, big table to enjoy outdoor dining/drinks, even when it is raining. I really loved the location of this property. It is convenient to travel to Kure Beach and Fort Fisher, as well as Carolina Beach and Wilmington. It is very nice to be able to walk from the condo to the beach and back so quickly and easily. I will definitely consider staying here again, but I will bring an inflatable mattress for the floor next time. This place is not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but it is acceptable and satisfactory. The sheets and towels provided by the linen service were exceptionally clean, nice, and well-packaged. The rental management agency was also very pleasant to deal with.
