Beautiful and Clean

Great place to stay in Carolina Beach! It was close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The house was clean and nicely decorated. Rental company was easy to deal with and very communicative. I highly recommend!

If you need dark rooms to sleep bring a sleep mask, rooms are very bright. everything was as listed, clean, nice kitchen great spot - only thing is rooms very bright and def bring more towels if you go to beach and or want more than one per person - great time had by all!

Beautiful Home

Slack Tide is a beautiful home and the property manager is very responsive. The pool and hot tub are a great place to hang out and it’s a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay!

Great location close to beach

House was wonderful for our large group. Upper level has great ocean view and canal view. Located less than a few minutes walk to the beach. House was very clean and had all the amenities we needed.

Manager was fantastic!

The property was beautiful and comfortably held all 10 of my family. We had a small crisis (no hot water) when we first arrived but the property manager worked feverishly to resolve it quickly. Shout out to Gina!

Not for Elderly!

Brought my family down but the property was NOT suited for anyone elderly. Elevator was not operational for 1 of our 3 days. Kitchen and Living room was on the top (4th) floor! Beds were super tall. Too tall for my elderly mother! First floor stairs had no handrail …. Just a difficult place to stay for anyone elderly.

Newer Multi-Level Beach Home Super Close to Beach

Overall, we enjoyed Slack Tide. It was clean and had plenty of space for our party of 5 and 2 dogs. The pool was super nice to have and the adjoining property guests who were sharing it with us were fortunately nice and courteous. It’s a smaller pool area so there is really not a lot of space to do much more than be in the pool while in the backyard. The outdoor shower was completely inoperable for us and we had to keep asking to get it addressed which didn’t happen until five days into our week’s stay. We loved how the beach access was just one short block away. The property did provide beach chairs and some toys which helped augment what we also brought. Having views of the ocean and the canal/sound was also cool. The elevator worked for us - once we figured it out, and it was critical for us as we had some guests who really needed it. The property did not have a large gas grill or anyway to do outdoor cooking for us. All they provided was a small charcoal grill with no charcoal. No one wants to use a grill like that - let alone while on vacation. The kitchen amenities were very lean, making cooking a challenge, with smaller skillets. These are all things that should be addressed for a properly which is supposed to accomodate 10. All of the beds were also extremely firm and everyone in our party commented on it. Despite some of these challenges, which hopefully can be addressed for future guests, we would recommend the property!
