“The staff was amazing. The rooms were big and updated. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast was ok. I will have one negative comment to make. The Hotel did not have an elevator it was all stairs. I was put in a room on the 4th floor. I have knee problems and that was horrible for me. When it rained the stairs would get wet and I was afraid to fall. I requested another room and they were completely booked. They should mention that on the hotel website. The fifth floor which was the rooftop……

“The staff was extremely courteous. The only drawback was that this hotel functions more like a bed and breakfast -- many functions are managed by a larger facility down the street. Again, the staff is great, but there is sometimes a delay while they have to check with someone in the other hotel for special requests or financial matters. ”

“Let me start with we could not find this hotel. Our Uber driver couldn’t find it. We had to walk around and Google Maps could not find it. Eventually had to call and get directions. Once we found it, check in went smooth. Location is great right in the center of the walled city. The balcony was nice to sit out and listen to the bands down the street. The breakfast was good. There was a language barrier but we were able to use Google Translate and get everything figured out.”

“Stayed in many hotels in Cartagena over the past 6 years and our stay here was absolutely one of the best! Everything from the staff (huge thanks to Chef Isaac, who took the time to show me how to make a dessert he had prepared that I loved) to amazing breakfasts and extremely comfortable room (bed was so comfortable AC worked perfectly and perhaps the best shower in Cartagena) and rooftop pool so enjoyable and great Wi-Fi. Will absolutely stay again on our next trip!”

“Casa claver offers quality service. The staff is very helpful and respectful. The property is very clean, welcoming and peaceful. It’s location is great if you are looking to participate in excursions, most meeting points were anywhere from 7-10 min walk, other hotels I reviewed that required transportation. The breakfast is very good, I would suggest pick a different one every day you’re there. The rooftop pool has an amazing view. I would highly recommend and also visit again.”

“Perfect location in the center of old town. Stunningly decorated and furnished - felt both modern and distinctly Colombian. The staff were truly outstanding, offering generous and friendly help at every turn. The breakfast is included and delicious. The rooms were perfectly air conditioned and had black out curtains, offering a welcome reprieve from the sun after a long day out and about. The rooftop pool is small but luxurious and has incredible sunset views! We loved it here and will……

“Wow…that’s where I’ll start. Our experience with La Casa Cartujita was all that we hoped for on first ever trip to Columbia. The staff were genuinely kind and helpful. The property was clean and oh the fragrance that so delicately and strategically circulated throughout La Casa was so divine that I had to ask about it. My husband would sometimes react to fragrances but had no issues there. The entire place felt like a haven after a full day of roaming the Walled City. And the cool room (Electra)……
