「I had a fantastic stay at La Casa Juan Ranas. It was mid October so the weather was still warm and the local area was vibrant. The view from my suite’s terrace, was truly breathtaking - the best view of Alhambra! It was memorable having breakfast on my terrace and seeing the whole of Granada sprawling beneath the palace. The staff and hotel owner were great and made sure no request was too much - they were really friendly and helpful, arranging trips to the Alhambra. The food in the hotel...

「The way up by car is not for the faint hearted. Read the instructions clearly or you may come across serious problems. Once you get there, the parking is great. Hotel has an excellent location, and you can basically walk everywhere around the old part of town. Walking to Alhambra is doable but we took the bus and we were glad we did. Reception lady is very helpful and accommodating. Rooms are spotless with thick, fresh towels in the bathrooms. Great experience overall.」

「Wir hatten ein Standard-Doppelzimmer. Das Zimmer war klein, aber ausreichend. Es lag zur Straße, eine Hauptverkehrsstraße, dadurch wurde es sehr laut, wenn das Fenster geöffnet wurde. Es lag zwar im 12-ten Stock, trotzdem war der Verkehrslärm mehr als hörbar. Das Bad war sehr klein und in der Dusche waren die Armaturen teilweise defekt. 「This place is really about the view to the Alhambra which was superb! The room was big. The bed was “okay”, but the fitted sheet didn’t fit very well and in the middle of the night they kept coming off… we had to get up and try to put them back on. The proprietor gave us very good directions on where to be dropped off by the taxi. It is a walk down stairs so definitely be sure to bring luggage that can be rolled along a rocky/aggregate terrain.
