「I’m not sure where to even start with this review. All I can say is “what a view” every morning we woke up to the beauty of Thomas Pond. Every night we went to bed under a sky full of stars. The home is a perfect lakeside retreat. Comfortable for our family of 3 and 2 more guests in the guest house. We could have all stayed in the main home but the separate homes was perfect for our situation. Fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking off of the pier every day was so much fun. Great kitchen to cook...

「This lovely, incredibly comfortable yurt is in the most beautiful setting along a beautiful river and in a peaceful forest. The wood stove kept everything warm and cozy, and it was wonderful to be "off the grid"! We attended a great concert at the Stone Mountain Arts Center (just 3 miles away), and enjoyed a peaceful day of reading, walking, and resting the rest of our time there. Our hosts were fantastic and responsive. We'd love to come back!」

「Please listen closely!! If you pass this place up, I truly feel sorry for you. I am on a first time adventure to Maine from Indiana and this is my FAVORITE place stay of ALL TIME. I wish I had done my homework and planned more time at Desert of Maine. Our cabin was cozy after a nice evening by the fire. Loved the shower!! I will definitely return for a girl's trip with my sisters!! (Cabin 17)」
