Quiet Little Town, Yet lots to see close by!!!

Milena and her husband, are a very sweet couple!!! Always there when we needed them. They left us little treats in the appartement, and then brought us a bottle of wine & balsamic vinegar. Their place is absolutely beautiful, well decorated. Everything you need to feel right at home!!! Their place is situated close to vineyards, so you can do some wine tasting, cherry picking when in season, close to The Ferrari Museum, & the Enzo Ferrari Museum. Lots of beautiful souvenirs at their place. Would absolutely go back

Location comoda e curata all'interno del borgo medievale

Siamo stato solo una notte ma devo dire che ci siamo trovati benissimo, accolti gentilmente dai proprietari che ci hanno indicato tutte le attrattive della zona, appartamento molto curato e pulito munito di tutto ciò che può servire, il tutto incastonato all'interno di un bellissimo e tranquillo borgo medievale! La struttura è pet friendly ed infatti noi siamo andato col nostro cagnolone di 40 kg! Ci torneremo sicuramente e di sicuro lo consiglieremo a parenti ed amici!

I really wanted to love this property and many things were great. The hosts were nice and provided adorable touches like candy and wine, met us promptly and gave lots of good information. The property was updated and beautiful with nice art but there wet 2 big negatives. First is the bed in the master was very uncomfortable. It truly felt as if we were sleeping on a box spring. You could feel the springs every time you moved.The second negative was the air condition. I know it isn’t great in Italy in general but it was my priority in choosing an apartment. There were 2 nice new units. One in the living room. The second in the hallway. Since there was no unit in the bedrooms we had to leave the doors open to the hallway and put a fan in the hall to bring in the air. One more unit would really help. A smaller issue is that it is called a bed and breakfast but really the host leaves some Jam and toasts. That would be fine except there is hardly anything nearby in the old town so you have to walk for about 10 min down a very steep hill to get a coffee or pastry. The old town has a few very fancy restaurants. The area is deserted during the day but at night when you drive back from visiting other areas it is very difficult to park due to the high end restaurants that are open for dinner in the old town. The apartment provides a parking pass but many times the private parking was full. I was excited about the town but It wasn’t the small village feel I was hoping for.

Family trip

This property was an awesome spot to stay while travelling the area. Milena and Francesco were wonderful hosts who were quick respond and provided small added touches that made our stay comfortable. A beautiful and quiet town with wonderful restaurants truly gave us the full Italian of experience.

This place has a unique combination of bright and contemporary interiors nestled in a place steeped with old world charm. The best part of our stay, involved the wonderful owners. Ideale ligging in een historisch dorp voor bezoek aan Bologna, Parma en Modena

Zeer netjes. Heerlijk dikke en voldoende handdoeken. Verwarming. Rustige ligging in historisch dorp. Fijn restaurant net om de hoek. Gemakkelijk parkeren dichtbij het appartement. Goede uitvalsbasis voor bezoek aan Bologna, Modena, Parma, Ferrari museum, enz. Vriendelijke eigenaars.

Excellent hosts, great apartment and location

We had spent time in Castelvetro di Modena in 2018 and couldn't wait to return to this lovely hilltop village. We booked the apartment in April and from the beginning, communication with Milena and her partner Francesco was excellent. The apartment is big enough for 4 people, clean, modern, had everything we needed and is located in the historic town centro in the middle of the Modena balsamic vinegar and lambrusco productions areas and an hour from Parma and 40 minutes from Bologna. Castelvetro itself has a number of very good restaurants and a couple of times we had breakfast next door at Locanda del Feudo (10Eu for continental) although there is also a good cafe near the Conad at the bottom of the hill from the village. Our hosts were very kind to meet us about 8.30pm as we were much later than expected and provided recommendations about places to eat, visit etc. Thanks for a great stay, Milena. We will be back in Castelvetro di Modena and will stay at your place again.

Amazing host

Milena was so generous and kind throughout our stay. Even dropping off a bottle of local wine at our departure. The location of the apartment is unbelievable, in the heart of Castelvetro and near amazing restaurants and views. The apartment itself is very spacious and well equipped. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely send family and friends to stay here. Thank you Milena

Amazing stay

My family had such an amazing stay at Milena's property. The apartment was generously stocked and the home so clean and comfortable. Such thoughtful touches with toiletries and candies. The apartment was quiet with the availability of air conditioning. Our hosts were so kind. Centrally located, fantastic places to eat are close and it is very easy to get around to grocery stores and other sights in the area. There isn't a high enough recommendation for this wonderful spot.
