「The renovated barn with two bedrooms, a large living room, bath, laundry room, and kitchen was a welcome relief after our days of sightseeing. The kitchen was well equipped with what was needed to fix meals and snacks. The outdoor area was full of interesting plants and trees and plenty of room for my dog to run and play. The two owners are wonderful to be around and cared that our stay was satisfactory. Although it is somewhat close to a road, there are massive bushes hiding view of the road...

「From the moment we booked, Cynthia was in touch to make this a great experience. Close to St Emilion we loved exploring the area and even walking next door for a great tasting. It was so nice to sit outside every morning to have our coffee and breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and washrooms very clean. Each evening we were able cook som very nice meals, sit outside and enjoy the various wines we brought back. Cynthia was very helpful directing us to bike routes. Restaurants and markets...

「Wir hatten einen wundervollen Urlaub und unseren Aufenthalt im Château von Markus in vollen Zügen genossen. Das Château ist ruhig und idyllisch gelegen, abseits des Troubles der Atlantikküste, aber nah genug für zahlreiche schöne Tagesausflüge. Der malerische Poolbereich hat uns uns unserer Tochter viele schöne Stunden und Abkühlung beschert. Man merkt hier, dass Markus Gastgeber mit Herzblut und Leidenschaft ist. Danke für die schöne, unkomplizierte Zeit bei dir und deine beiden Hunde! 」

「Fantastic location - village setting is stunning with enough amenities to make for easy living i.e. 2 cafes and 1 very good mini food market store that sells most things including fresh pastries/baguettes daily. Excellent accommodation - made easier by John being English (also French & German speaking) - canoeing is just down the road as well as many beautiful wineries. Thanks John for all your advise - he helped us hire bikes that were picked up/dropped off to the accommodation. All very easy...
