Welcome to Wagging Woods! Set on 3 secluded acres dotted with majestic redwoods, this 2BR home is the perfect hillside escape. You'll love the dog-friendly fenced yard.


Start the day with a coffee on the covered front porch. Grill out and dine alfresco on the two-level wraparound deck. Relax in the sunroom or cozy up by the wood-burning stove in the living room. Finish the day with a relaxing hot tub soak amidst the trees.

The inviting living room includes vaulted beam ceilings, a stone-framed wood-burning stove, and a TV.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. We loved our stay at Wagging Woods. Very clean, quiet and peaceful which is exactly what we were hoping for. My husband is a chef and he loved the appliances! Our dog had an absolute blast exploring the outdoor spaces under the beautiful redwoods. Close enough to fun stuff, yet distant enough to feel in your own world. We had a relaxing stay. Magical Stay

Amazing property with great place for doggies to run. Beautiful hot tub set among the redwoods. Clean and cozy with lots of great movies and video games and extra bedding and towels. We will recommend this place to all our friends.

Good place for traveling with dogs

The home is very well equipped for those traveling with dogs, but we did not. Also given that it is dog friendly, I'd say the house was very clean. Kitchen is very well equipped especially if you want to bake, and the beds were comfortable. Location was a little difficult to find because we arrived at night but we managed. It's a great spot if you are exploring the area and just need a home base, but nothing special. Hot tub was nice during the day surrounded by trees but was difficult to figure out how to turn on.

We enjoyed our stay at Waggin Woods and appreciate how dog friendly it was. The house was cute, cozy and well equipped with all of the amenities. The only real complaint would be that it appeared that at least one of the beds did not have linens changed, as there was sand and human hair in the sheets

Absolutely Not

Do not rent this property in its current state and avoid Vacasa rental company if you can help it. We left the property after our first night, reached out to the property company that day, and they've been dragging their heels ever since my request for a partial refund. Hopefully they see this and actually choose to address my frustrations and request. In planning for our trip I had been eyeing several properties. When I came back to make the reset this one was the last one available so I admittedly panic reserved. Then I started reading other reviews and immediately had second thoughts. Turns out I should have trusted my gut. At night we couldn't get the standing fans to run for more than the 2 hour dial timer. I woke up every two hours to turn them back on. We had to have the fans running because it was very hot in the house. We were only able to open a few of the windows because the majority were either broken (couldn't be opened) or had no screens. The window by the front door, I had to work it from the inside while my wife pulled from the outside and it still wouldn't open more than a few inches. It made sense then why some of the blinds were drawn when we arrived. I tried to ignore the neighbors property and other people have commented about this in their review. We loved seeing the trees and excitedly started opening the blinds. But everything turned sour very fast. We couldn't go outside to the cool air because of the mosquitoes. The cleaners had left a can of Off bug

We really loved the place. Our grandchildren had a great time. Wish I would’ve brought the dog because he would’ve very much enjoyed it. The only problem we had was the Internet is spotty at best and the beds are not very comfortable and the pillows are not that great everything else I would say five stars but I believe they need new beds and better pillows, and something with the Wi-Fi works

Mildew and scum in hot tub

I was hoping I would be able to give this property a favorable review. Unfortunately, this is not possible. For our mother daughter retreat, I chose this property in the redwood forest because of the hot tub. When we arrived it was covered in scum. The water was green and opaque and there was mildew. It was unusable. My hopes of my Mom enjoying joint pain relief in a soothing hot tub were dashed. I brought this to the attention of management and received an insufficient credit on my credit card. If you rent this place, you may want to ask them to confirm with photos that the hot tub is clean and ready for your use. Disappointed.

Redwood Retreat

The setting is absolutely magnificent and has great potential as a place to relax. It is a very dog friendly place. Time spent on the deck was lovely. There were about 15 chairs and a table outside on the deck. The hot tub was clean, but we weren’t told about the lighting and could easily have slipped on steps in the dark. Except for the dining room, the furniture was worn out and uncomfortable. The kitchen appliances were good so preparing meals was fun. The house heater worked well once we figured out how to run it. The management, apparently not through VRBO, left no instructions on how to use the house, i.e., the combination to the hot tub lock, running the house heater, information about the pass code for the the one tv that worked, and no information about the area (restaurants, parks, stores, and hikes). They sent an email with some of this information on the day of our stay. Additional management charges, not including the pre-paid pet fee, through VaCasa, were more expensive than was the rental fee. As far as we could tell, they responded to texts, put the laundry in the dryer and made the beds after we left. There may have been more that they did that wasn’t apparent to us.

Terrible first time booking with Vrbo

The online listing of the property makes it look like it isn't a bad stay but upon arrival the place is extremely outdated and dusty with a lot of wear and tear. I reviewed their ledger where people can sign their experience and leave a note and it seems that the tubs jets have been out for at least a year or two.. this property has been used for rentals for over 10 plus years with seemingly no updates to the property. I tried to speak with vacasa about getting a refund and they were extremely rude. The hot tub had black algae or mold growing on it and was cloudy and had too much chemicals so we did not get to enjoy it at all. I paid for an old dusty house with a hot tub that was out of service and I'm extremely upset about the fact that I paid more in fees than I did for the actual property so I will not ever be booking with Vrbo again and will be seeking a full refund. I had no choice but to actually stay in the rental after I arrived as I drove four hours there and spent all my money on the rental so I obviously could not just book another stay somewhere. If I wanted to stay somewhere that didn't have a hot tub I would have just got a hotel. This listing should be catered towards the actual HUMANS that stay here not the fact that you can bring your dog. The only reason it's being booked is because they are pet friendly and have a hot tub but the entire rental is musty that's the reason they allow animals is because they don't care it's ancient decor and furniture.

This property was perfect for us. The many levels with chairs and tables offer seclusion and quiet. A deer even visited one evening. The house was clean and comfortable. We knew it was dog friendly, and had concerns there would be smells or other evidence of previous guests pets. This was not the case. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The hot tub was the best one I've been in. The trees that surround it on all sides made it feeI so special. We hope we get a chance to return.

Everything was wonderful except that the hot tub was on economy mode 87°(which I understand) but there were no instructions to warn us about it, and no information about how to set it to heat so we could use it. Pushing buttons just gave us undecipherable codes. Fortunately the property management connected us with someone so we could figure out what to do, but we lost a whole day of use because the hot tub took so many hours to warm up. Otherwise this redwood getaway was lovely and comfortable.

A beautiful spot in the redwoods! Relaxing and a great space for our furry friend. Kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub, but the water was murky. Also, the couch was a lithe musty. Also, the beds could have been comfortable. Since we were not allowed a early check in or late departure, the time was not even 2 full days.

Beautiful place!

We really enjoyed our stay, and the hot tub in the redwoods is really magnificent. The house was clean, and comfortable, and no complaints there. My only had been for some flexibility on checkout time. Check in is fairly late, and the checkout is fairly early compared to my experience with other vrbo houses. Otherwise, very nice!
