Nice place to stay.
We were in town for a couple of days. The house is super cute. The back yard is a nice size and the neighborhood was quiet. I loved that hiking trails were 1.6 miles from the house. I will certainly book again.

House was so charming!
The home was so very charming! Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing.
Exceptional welcoming and hospitality. The rental is by far the best stocked and home feeling rental we've experienced -- it's like visiting your grandma's home. We really enjoyed all the decorations and nostalgic feeling. Very relaxing. The backyard offered so much -- loved getting fresh eggs, too 🐔
This house is a home. Very clean, very charming. There were perfect little touches everywhere that were unexpected, but made the stay so special. It’s the only place we will stay in Cedar City from now on!

HOME
This cute little house was very comfortable . Loved the decor.
This house was amazing. We loved the placed it had a lot of charm. The chickens in the back were cool and fresh eggs were great. Would stay again for sure.
The Homestead was fantastic--the best -furnished vrbo we have ever stayed at. The cupboards were well-stocked with spices, canned goods, peanut butter, hot chocolate, etc.; we were able to lay our hands on every cooking and eating/drinking utensil we needed--and that was just the beginning! The yard is lovely, with fresh eggs laid by chickens, raspberry and blackberry bushes, and apple and pear trees--a little paradise! The interior of the house was bright, spacious, clean, and comfortable in every way. We felt perfectly at home.

Such a fun trip!
The house is in a great location and so cute. I have 2 kids (7 and 10) and they had plenty to explore in the back yard and inside. Plenty of room and the hostess was so thoughtful. She left us a cute note to welcome us with some treats for my kids. My girls were so excited. We would definitely stay here again. There was another group staying below us and we barely saw them and it didn't affect our stay at all.
We love the country feel of The Homestead, which is appropriately named. The history of the place lends itself to chickens, of which there are 4. Our chihuahua loved it here and had so much wandering enjoyment. The beds were comfy, kitchen had everything we needed and more. This was one of the most pleasant stays we have had. Will stay again to visit our college kid for sure. :) Joleen is an amazing hostess, who made us feel so welcome. Thank you for an amazing stay! :)
Home away from home, great for the Shakespeare Festival
Stayed in this wonderful home to attend three days of productions at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. The home is full of charm. Aircon worked very well. It was hot outside! Owner provided breakfast makings - fresh eggs (chickens out back), English muffins, Pastries, Cookies, Homemade jams. Plenty of condiments for other meals. Leaded and unleaded coffee. Teas. Location is a 10 minute walk to the Shakespeare Festival theaters and to quite a few restaurants. A great place to stay.

Research area of house before booking
Upon driving up to the home, we thought we were on the wrong street. The entire street is run down. We double checked and it was in fact the location. The front pictures were not at all what we expected. I realize it is winter and so there are no flowers but I did not expect the house to look so run down. The backyard was full of junk, including random appliances, a rusty old swing set and many other items. We appreciate that the owner took time to make cookies and seems nice, however we did not even stay in the house. We left after a quick look and had to stay in a hotel. I would highly look at the area before booking this stay. Also, please notice that the downstairs area is separate and may have another person staying there just below the house.

Cute cottage! Older people be aware this home has uneven surfaces inside and out, narrow staircase which must be climbed to get to 2 bedrooms. 2 mattress are in need of replacing. It was a perfect location for our activities and afforded us the opportunity to all stay together.
We stayed at the homestead for the holiday lighting ceremony. The morning of our check in, Joleen reached out to let me know it had snowed so we could be prepared.
When we arrived it was like a Hallmark movie. The house was nice and cozy, perfect for our family of 5. It was so nice to have a full kitchen. The backyard is amazing and was perfect for our 9 year old to play in the snow. The kids were able to get some chicken eggs, which they thought was so cool.
We were able to walk down to the lighting ceremony and all the businesses (winery, pizza, bookstore, game store, coffee shops, etc.) 10/10 would stay here again!

Great house with great amenities in a great location.
A charming farm house that thinks of everything for their guests. Was very surprised in a great way upon arrival to this house on the extent that the hosts goes to in providing everything for their guests. Items provided included having things labeled. providing goods to include items for making Smores to using their outside fire pit, pastries and cookies made available for the guests that were really good, and other items. Great location to trails, to sporting locations for children's sports, and to the national parks. Hope to return soon for vacation as this time we stayed for the Utah Summer Games with attending a softball tournament. The house itself was really nice as an old farm house with a bathroom on each floor, bedrooms had very big closets, and the house was decorated in chickens and roosters 🐓. They have chickens in the backyard that was very cool to feed and see.

Cute and cozy holiday stay!
We met up with family from both in and out of town for the holiday and stumbled across this cute home last minute. We wanted somewhere other than a hotel so that we could relax together and also have access to a kitchen and living room. This house was perfect! They provided so many things and the chickens/eggs were icing on the cake! Our only issue was that the downstairs tenants brought a dog that barked nonstop while they were gone, however the host was quick to act. She was very accessible and responded to my concern and informed us she also reached out to the other tenants. Her resolution was great and we had no issues with the dog after that. Having such a friendly and helpful host is a must with house rentals, and she made this trip so much better. This was a perfect home for a holiday getaway!
Excellent house. Perfect for a family. Very well appointed. We always cook a lot at the VRBOʻs so appreciate all the spices, teas and condiments. It also affords us the opportunity to leave items for the next users. Great atmosphere and location. The outdoor spaces are nice to use as well. We loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Beautiful property. The backyard is very unique and special. The house is old and charming. So well supplied-they have everything you could want in the kitchen and beyond. Beautiful decorations. Even toys for the kids. We loved it!!!
We loved staying at The Homestead! It was a fun whimsy place with everything you needed an more. I highly recommend this property to anyone going to Cedar City and we will be staying at this location again if/when we come back to Cedar City. Located close to every thing, you can walk to all things you need in town.
