We live in the house when we do not receive reservations and this gives it an unfailing family warmth.
 Furnished with some furniture of our grandparents, but with 'modern' beds and in addition a comfortable garden set, (deck chairs, armchairs, dining tables, indoors and outdoors).
Casa MARE CELESTE is an ancient stone farmhouse completely renovated and equipped with a wooden porch.
It rises 350 m. high on the beautiful sea of ​​Cefalù and on a small beach (see attached photo) which is 2 km away with 10 minutes away and for this you need a car.
This beautiful seascape certainly induces you to take a swim in true relaxation around the sea stacks.
The house is located on a plateau of 1800 square meters, with SWIMMING POOL in the center of the garden, 360 ° view. Sea and mountain views.
In total tranquility, the villa is surrounded by olive trees, far from railways and highways (which can be seen on the map but with different heights) distributed on two levels with 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 quadruple) (the quadruple consists of 2 single beds and 1 double bed) for a total of 8 places
It has 02 WC bathrooms with shower (one blue on the ground floor, the other green on the first floor)
A living room where there is a relaxation area with sofas and satellite TV, WiFi internet. A large typical brick kitchen with Santo Stefano ceramics and equipped with dishwasher.
On one side of the panoramic garden there is a rustic barbecue and on the back of the house a comfortable (outdoor) shower with hot water.
The peculiarity of the Mare Cielo house is its optimal geographical position to reach the nearby city of CEFALU '(3 km) with its majestic Arab-Norman cathedral described by UNESCO. HUMANITY HERITAGE, Monreale and its cathedral UNESCO HUMANITY HERITAGE, Aeolian Islands, BATTLE PLAN 1600 meters above sea level in the Madonne Natural Park (winter ski resort, with two-seater CHAIRLIFT chair open all year round, in summer mountain biking.
TINDARIS with its Greek Theater and BLACK MADONNA, Taormina, ETNA Volcano with the possibility of guided tours, Villa del Casale (ENNA), Agrigento Valley of the Temples,
Palermo: from the tourist port to the Royal Palace, passing through the historic Corso Vittorio Emanuele and the Cathedral.

Quand vous louer cette maison, vous ne faites pas que louer une maison, vous louez tout l'accueil de l'Italie, la gentillesse, la beauté esthétique d'un lieu, l'art de vivre à l'italienne et tout ce qui fait de l'Italie ce pays rêvé.Francesco est un hôte sincères, sympathique, accueillant et bienveillant.Sa maison est tout simplement jolie avec une vue imprenable sur la côte sicilienne..Il ne manque rien dans cette maison, et avec un peu de chance vous pourrez manger les mandarines directement de l'arbre et mettre un peu de la magnifique huile d'olive qu'il presse avec ses oliviers sur votre salade.Nous avons tout simplement adoré cet endroit et le recommandons sans aucune réserve.PARADISIO!!!!!!

Beautiful Hilltop Villa With Amazing Views

We were a party of 6 including my wife and I, our three adult kids, and my mother. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful stone house perched over the town and coast of Cefalu. Francesco could not have been more gracious and responsive. He arranged for a chef who cooked us a lovely seafood dinner, he made recommendations and responded immediately to any questions. The property and gardens are amazing. But we were also quite content to stay in the house during a heavy rain day. The road that approaches the house is quite steep and a little tricky. We highly recommend this location.

Très belle maison avec vue magnifique. Cefalu est une très jolie cité médicale et balnéaire. Nombreux commerces. La route d’accès est impressionnante et nécessite une voiture haute mais on s’y habitue. Piscine très agréable. Pas de lave vaisselle. Très bon accueil de Marianna et Francesco. On recommande !

Mooi huis op schitterende locatie

Ruim sfeervol ingericht huis met ruime overkapping en terras en zwembad. Fantastisch uitzicht op zee vanaf 350 m hoogte. Rustige plek ongeveer 4 km van Cefalu vandaan. De laatste 800 m zijn erg stijl imhoog en vormen telkens weer een uitdaging om er te komen. De eigenaar, Franceso, is een hartelijke man die je graag wil helpen.

Far from the madding crowd

An absolute gem of a place. Well equipped property, inside and out. Owners (Francesco and Marianna) are deservedly proud of this quaint property and gardens. Swimming pool and patio immaculate. Indoor and outdoor shower rooms. Car needed as location is 3.6 miles from Cefalu town centre. Highly recommended and Francesco, provided the warmest welcome, a fabulous bottle of local wine, and took us on a personal tour of Palermo. His hospitality was beyond our expectation. Would also recommend the supermarket Gourmet Deco Cefalu - Waitrose on steroids!

Fabulous!

We throughly enjoyed our stay in Sicily and would highly recommend staying here. The villa itself is wonderfully rustic and authentic and is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more! A real home from home. Francesco is a fantastic host who greeted us with a warm welcome and was attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Cefalu was beautiful and we also spent a lovely evening in nearby pituresque Castelbuono (an excellent recommendation by Francesco). We also enjoyed exploring other parts of the island (a car is a must) and the fantastic nearby beaches and the villa was always a welcome sight to return to. We fell in love with Sicily and wouldn't hesitate to stay again! Karl, Mel and family.

Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay at Francesco’s house. The location is perfect, calm and quiet with an amazing view, but still close to the main attractions in Cefalu. The house was clean and practical with loads of nice seating areas outside to enjoy the view and the pool. Francesco was a fantastic host, a great communicator, and overall lovely person - always available for questions and assistance.

Stop looking and just book this. Beautiful, comfortable Italian farmhouse. Wonderful stone walls and beams inside. Comfortable, quality furnishings. Many beautiful antiques. Waist-deep pool. Amazing outdoor spaces & living with plenty of shade or sun to enjoy the beautiful view. Beautiful landscape and gardens. Everything you could possibly need. So peaceful and quiet yet only 10 minutes to town, good restaurants, lots of activities. Owner is amazing, kind, so helpful. Stocked us with groceries for our first evening and morning since we were getting in late. He would have done more had we asked. Like having our own Italian home. We absolutely loved it!

We were two families with children, ages from 5 to 12, who enjoyed a wonderful week in Francesco's lovely house. It was well equipped, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to sit outside in the shade at all times of the day, and playing and cooling off in the pool. Francesco was a friendly, funny and helpful host. He gave us good tips about restaurants and beaches to visit.

Wir haben eine wunderschöne woche in diesem ganz individuell gestalteten ferienhaus verbracht. Bei ankunft war der kühlschrank gefüllt!! Herr de lisi war ein sehr warmherziger und überaus hilfsbereiter gastgeber, bei dem wir uns herzlich bedanken. Auch die terrasse und die gartenanlage übertraf unsere erwartungen. Die steile anfahrt zum haus ist nichts für ungeübte fahrer!

Séjour très agréable dans une maison de caractère

Cette maison perchée à 300 m de hauteur offre une vue magnifique sur la mer et la région dont on ne se lasse pas. L'accueil de Francesco était royal avec un excellent déjeuner sicilien préparé pour nous à notre arrivée, il vous considère comme un ami et fait tout son possible pour rendre votre séjour agréable, il fait l'effort de parler français qu'il maitrise très bien. La maison est pleine de charme, confortable avec toutes les commodités (sauf le lave-vaisselle mais on s'en est très bien passé), bien arrangée et le cadre est superbe. On peut manger à l'ombre et à l'abri sur un belle terrasse avec vue sur la mer. L'accès à la villa est un peu surprenant au début avec une côte impressionnante sur une route en mauvais état mais on s'y habitue vite et sans problème. Un conseil , n'oubliez pas les produit anti-moustiques car ils sont bien présents. En tout cas notre séjour a été extraordinaire dans cette maison et on avait le cafard de repartir, de laisser un si beau paysage et un accueil exceptionnel.

un paradis, une vue aérienne, sublime.

Nous venons de passer une semaine idyllique dans cet havre de paix. Le propriétaire, devenu notre ami ;-) Francesco !!! C'est une personne d'une générosité incroyable, d'une gaieté sans faille... Merci Francesco pour ton accueil si amical. La villa n'a pas de "vis à vis". Nous étions seuls au monde. La villa est à 10 mn de Cefalu, et allions sans problème dîner le soir (même avec 3 bambins !!). La maison est parfaitement équipée... De bon goût. Avec une petite piscine parfaite pour se relaxer en rentrant de la plage ! Juste une remarque... la route qui mène à la maison est surprenante la première fois. Un pente quasi verticale !!!... qui semble insurmontable !! En réalité très facile dès la deuxième montée. Nous avons laissé notre "pink flamingo"... mieux dans la piscine de Francesco qu'à Paris !!! Bref, ne pas hésiter... nous avons adoré !

Nous avons passé 3 semaines chez Francesco à Cefalu. La maison est très belle, très fonctionnelle et surtout la vue est à couper le souffle. Francesco est très sympathique, il vous indiquera les bons plans, notamment pour les plages. De Cefalu, nous avons pu visiter l'ensemble de la Sicile. Réservez ! vous ne serez pas déçus !

Makalöst hus och utsikt!

Vi stortrivdes under vår vistelse, huset var helt fantastiskt, vackert italienskt, rymligt och med alla tillbehör! Vi var två familjer och det passade oss perfekt. Poolen var barnvänlig och alldeles lagom stor och passade barnen i åldrarna 6-13. Utsikten var verkligen något extra, helt magnifik!! Francesco var en fantastisk host med sin glädje och vänlighet men också hjälpsamhet med att besvara alla våra frågor. Francesco bidrog mycket till vår positiva upplevelse av resan. Boendet ligger uppe på ett berg så sista biten dit var lite ansträngande och det krävs lite mod av föraren. Man vande sig efter ett par gånger, men ändå bra att känna till. Vi rekommenderar gärna detta fantastiska hus och Francesco som host, toppen!
