I booked this place based on its 9.4 'exceptional' rating, but I’d challenge that rating. While the motel was clean, it wasn’t exceptional. There was a complimentary fly-swatter in the room—needed, due to nearby livestock attracting flies. Also, reviews praised the staff, but there weren’t any—I got a text with my access code before arrival. That setup was great for with me arriving late, but previous reviews didn’t reflect it clearly.
Bathroom mirror: very nice and updated. Shower: unbelievably small.
To be fair, this is a clean, drive-up motel that’s fine if you’re expecting that. I blame Expedia’s rating system not the owner. I’m writing this for folks like me who rely on 8+ reviews and want actual exceptional stays.”
