"This is a nice former lodge and convention center right on the beach north of town. Great place for dog owners and families. The adjacent restaurant served mediocre dishes. We ate in town mostly at the fine cafes down in the historic district. Every room has an ocean view."

"Our stay at the Hallmark Resort was amazing! The room was every bit as wonderful as I had hoped. The staff was friendly and the room service was great. We loved the access to the beach and the proximity to so many sites and restaurants. We will definitely be return guests."

"Overall stay was great. Nice view of the beach. Staff were very helpful. Only recommendation would be bring your own toilet paper. It’s really thin two ply. I would stay again though."

"Loved the room. Loved the view. Loved the balcony. Though cool to have a driver take me to my room and carry luggage in and out, I found it also inconvenient. I have a cain and find it difficult to walk, but when be I realize I did not crab water from my car, I did not want to call a driver. I found similar situations. Plus feeling the need to tip each time I was picked up. Not that anyone said I had to. Next the room is an adjoined with another room. I could hear the guest next door. Like I was in a house and people were talking in the next room. I did not want to disturb them by playing music or TV or talk on the phone. If I can hear them clearly, they would also hear me. No cell service, even with WiFi. I was waiting for the vet to call on my mother's dog. And had to leave the facility and go to town to make a call. Normally this would be awesome to unhook, if I was on a vacation or mini trip. But I had business. Please do not take this as I had a horrible time. The place is absolutely breathtaking gorgeous and so many wonder paths to walk and things to see and do. Worth trying out, even if it is only once."

"What a gem! One of the most unique places I've ever stayed. The attention to detail was remarkable - for instance they turn on a mild spotlight after dark so you can still enjoy the beach, whether you are out on it OR the view from your bed or patio if you're inside, almost like a moon glow, the ceiling in our room had little dimmable led lights in the shape of the big dipper, there is a hose to spray off your feet at the path to the beach, there was a towel warmer in the bathroom... I could go on and on. I will be back!"
