Guest are welcome to hike and fish use the canoe & paddle boat. Weather you are visiting the area to see one of the historical towns nearby or coming for a day at the Morrison Pheasant Hunting Club, Hilltop Meadow Hunt Club or Paul Brescia Hunting Club Mt. Carroll, IL. If hunting you may bring your own deer stand or use one of four stands already in place. Must abide by all hunting rules and regulations. Must have a current and valid state license. We are sure you will enjoy your time at the Lake Cabin.
This property is 1.5 hours from downtown Chicago, sits on 50 acres, overlooks a 6-acre lake, and is only accessible by a private drive. The buildings were completely remodeled in 2018.
Other amenities include a boat dock and fishing on the lake for small mouth bass, crappie and blue gill. A canoe and a paddleboat available to guest and you can cook your catch on the charcoal grill. There is also a two-mile long walking trail through the timber and pasture.
Please note that due to weather conditions lakes and ponds have seen an increase in algae bloom & duck weed. Because of this naturally occurring event the condition of the lake cannot be guaranteed.
The Lake Cabin is also available during hunting seasons.
