"We were given a different room to the one we booked. The room was smelling strongly of air freshener to cover the smell from the drains. There was no hot water in the bathroom. The evening meal was awful and took over 2hrs for 2 courses, the waitress ended up in tears after all the complaints. The receptionist tried her best to sort things out but was fighting a loosing battle. All in all not a good stay, luckily we only stayed one night - never again!!!"

"I was welcomed from the moment i walked in, they kindly stored my luggage early and on check in whisked my bike away to a secure store. Breakfast, with the wonderful view across the bay, was excellent and prompt. Will definitely stay again."

"I absolutely loved this property. Tye cottage was so cozy with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Great views of the harbour and very close to town. If you're driving, parking wasn't an issue and the bus stop is at the bottom of the hill with easy transportation across Cornwall."

"A lovely cottage , lovely hosts . The cottage was spotlessly clean , beautifully furnished everything you would need for a comfortable stay . Shops within walking distance A butchers , cheese shop convenience store, wine barFish and chip shop .Great places to walk places to visit . "

"The flat itself is lovely - it's very nicely decorated and with a beautiful view right across Mount's Bay. It is well appointed with a large bathroom and a kitchenette that contains everything you would need. The bed is comfortable. Communication with Ali was excellent: she was very responsive and helpful. I'm giving this only 3 stars, however, because we had a serious issue with access. I did check out access to the flat before booking and Ali was upfront about the garden steps: my partner, who is disabled, did manage these without too many problems. However, the driveway is unfortunately very challenging if, like ourselves, you're in an older manual car. I think, for younger and more intrepid drivers in small automatics, it should be fine, but reversing up a steep slope and then driving forwards around a steep bend nearly did my clutch in (I am having it checked today). If my partner had not been disabled, we would have parked in the town and walked up, but he cannot walk more than a few yards. The parking space is also on a slope so make sure you've got a good handbrake. It was too much for me and we left after one night. In short, a lovely studio flat, but not, as it turned out, a good choice for us. There is nothing that can be done about this - it's in a very steep part of Newlyn. We have stayed in the town before, but if you are planning to do so, I recommend checking out the parking options thoroughly beforehand. "
