Family Vacation

Location location location. Literally a 5 minute walk to the beach! Back balcony perfect to relax on after a day at the beach. It is a little bit of a walk to restaurants in town but nice that you don’t hear all the noise from the bars. Dog friendly and at a reasonable price. We were able to walk our dog on the beach every morning and he would not want to leave the back balcony. Love that they made entry code something that was easy to remember. Also a quick 25min drive into Charleston. Only complaint is the furniture in the living room could be updated but we hardly use it that area. Only in there during the one day that it rained. Really perfect spot if you enjoy the beach and love traveling with your dog.

Even better than advertised!

This property was exactly what we expected with one exception - it was cleaner than any rental we've ever had! The indoor and outdoor spaces were spotless and we could tell the owners took great pride in keeping the house in perfect shape. We highly recommend this property!

Our family felt comfortable and at-home while on vacation. The house was very clean and well furnished. The views were splendid! The neighborhood was quiet and the people very friendly. We enjoyed walking to the beach as well as to restaurants for some of our meals. Communication before, during and after was awesome. Great place. I worked remotely from here for a week and loved it. Lots of natural light. You can hear the ocean from the house. Great location to the beach or into the little town of Folly. Even though I was working full time from the house it felt like I was on vacation. Would return to this house in the future. House is cute and clean. Floors very uneven because house is old. Not great if you have vertigo or are older. Neighbors loud music went past midnight. Boom boom boom all night.

No frills, but met our needs.

The house was just as advertised. It was a cute little cottage with no frills, bells or whistles. It served our purpose well. The only suggestion I would make is for the owner to provide more towels and wash cloths. One per guest just wasn't enough. I had to buy extras to avoid doing several loads of laundry during our stay.

Perfect family stay

The house is nice just how it was described. Walking distance from the beach is literally 2 minutes. The shops and restaurants were like a 20 minute walk which made it quite at the house not like in town. I would rent a golf cart next time it was too long of a walk for us and our little ones. Having a shower right off the path to the beach was the best and laundry room was right there too! Plenty of outdoor seating on the back porch and screened in porch in the front. The fans and the ac worked no problem. It was very private up in the trees I rarely saw other people. It has a nice driveway it could easily fit multiple cars. We had a perfect stay I plan on returning.

Location to the beach was nice. The house needs to be updated ( furniture) The deck would be great if there were some hanging lights . It's hard to sit on deck at night with the lighting situation. We found a lot of spiders in the house. The AC in the bedroom with the twin beds stays too warm. It's hard to cool that room. A beach house with character

What a lovely place! Clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the beach. I loved the family photos and letter about the history of the house. You can feel the good vibes. It’s an older beach house but I felt totally at ease there. Loved the kitchen table and view of the marsh from the back deck. It did not come furnished with beach chairs or a hair dryer, so be aware of that if those things are needed. Would stay here again!

Loved the property and location! The deck and porches are the best. Ease to the beach and the fact that it was not too crowded by us adds to property . The twin beds could use replacing or a good mattress cover. But the awesome deck, location, and privacy of the super charming house more than made up for it.

808 ashley embodies a true cottage on Folly vibe. Close to the water with views of the marsh was spectacular to enjoy for beach days and plentiful hangs on the porch. Sufficient linens and amenities and space! A bit dated appliances and it’s an old cottage but lovely no-frills vibe.

Great spot and lovely home!

The beach was such a close walk from the house, it was easy to haul our stuff there without taking a car. The house was clean and ready for us upon arrival. Minutes from Folly bars and restaurants if you want to take advantage of that. Would stay here next time if we come to play at Folly again!

This is a rustic place that suited us perfectly. Quiet, close beach access, and close enough to town for shopping or restaurants. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. We would love to return to Folly Beach.

Excellent Spot!

This location was perfect for going to the beach! The porch was excellent for outside gatherings, and the outdoor shower was helpful when coming/going to the beach. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with gadgets (drip coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave, etc). The natural lighting made us feel like we were in a Nicholas Sparks movie. I would highly recommend this rental!
