Wonderful family vacation spot

Best place to stay! Clean, private, and great location. Easy drive into Charleston for all the activities & come back to relax on the quiet beach steps away from the house. The entire process was so easy and the family definitely wants to go back again next summer!

Do It!

With so many other positive reviews, there's really nothing much to add. It's an amazing place right on the beach. Who can complain about that? Kitchen had every pot, pan, or gadget we could want. Plenty of towels and linens. Comfortable furnishings. We wanted for nothing and would most definitely stay at this property again. The setting can't be beat!

Girls Weekend.

This is a great place to stay for a girls trip or family trip. Plenty of room for everyone and a beautiful spot. We loved the games and puzzles you had for us. Also. The kitchen is fully loaded to cook and all you need is food.

Great beach front home

This house was THE BEST! It was absolutely homey and roomy. You could sit on the deck, screened in porches or a sun room and watch the beach. It has its own access to the beach and very quiet in spite of being on the beach. It is fully stocked and sleeps 10. 8 adults and 2 bunks for kids. Close to downtown Folly and The lighthouse. We will definitely be back here. Loved having our extended family vacation here. The owners were so easy to work with as well.

Hidden Gem

We loved the property & the instructions on everything were very clear. The house was clean & comfortable with a nice view of the beach. We loved that we could sit in the protected sun room to watch the surfers & dolphins. We had a very relaxed Thanksgiving together & look forward to doing it again next year.

Amazing - Salt Sea on Folly Island

What a fantastic trip. The house was amazing with private beach access. We especially loved sitting on the deck, watching the waves and having tranquil family time. The house was spacious enough to accommodate our family of 5 with all the amenities we could need. This is a "must do" rental for anyone considering visiting the Charleston area. Highly recommend!

We had a fun-filled trip with family and our accommodations helped make it so. House was well supplied, beds were comfy, and there was easy access to beach for our elderly family members. Plenty of space to spread out and views were spectacular. Loved the deck and screened porches. Already looking ahead to next summer at Salt Sea 💛

Christmas at Folly

We has a wonderful family time at Sat Sea. It is a really beautiful comfortable roomy house. I think it is really better than the pictures! We loved watching the surfers and ocean from the sun porch. The kitchen was really well stocked which was great because we cooked a lot. We really liked how private it felt because there are large trees and shrubs on both sides. It was different from most beach places because of that. I would definitely recommend this place and I would love to stay there again. Check in was also very easy. The hosts were extremely attentive.

Amazing Location

Loved the location of this property, it was right on the beach, but surrounded by trees so very private. The accommodations were comfortable and kitchen was stocked with anything you could need. Amazing outdoor spaces, two screened in porches with windows and doors you can leave open to hear the ocean. We will definitely be back.

The perfect place to kickoff 30!

We had a wonderful experience staying at this location. Plenty of room for everyone, close to many things, and our favorite was the easy access to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner at home if we wanted, but we were also fairly close to a lot of the restaurants on Folly and a short drive to get into Charleston. It was super easy to communicate with our hosts and didn't have any issues with our stay.

Great place for a group to stay on Folly Beach!

We had the best week staying at Salt Sea to celebrate a 40th birthday! The house was even better than the photos - the primary suite bathroom has received a beautiful upgrade! We had a group of 8 adults, 2 children, and the house was a good fit. We loved drinking coffee on the porch every morning and looking for dolphins! Our favorite part was the beach access, and we appreciated that there were beach chairs and boogie boards available. Hosts were easy to communicate with, and were very helpful when we had some travel issues. Would absolutely love to stay here again!

Wonderful Stay

We are 2 families that like to visit Folly once or twice a year. This was by far our favorite property! The deck, the short walk to the beach, and the longer distance to town were our favorite things. Being farther down the island meant that the beach wasn't as crowded and we could spread out as much as we wanted. Loved the outdoor shower for getting all the sand off before going into the house. The house itself was great! Lots of space for 10 people. The 2 screened in porches were awesome! Overall, our best stay in Folly!

The Perfect Beach House

This was exactly the trip our family needed and the home could not have been more perfect. Its greatest selling point is the incredible view of the beach that you can see from the moment you walk into the home. The entire back of the house has ocean views and the large patio allowed our family to relax and watch the waves crash onto the sand. The house sits back from the beach which provides quality privacy, but it is not so far that you feel detached. The outdoor shower gets warm quickly and provides the perfect place to rinse off sand and sea water. The owners clearly put a lot of thought into what a quality rental needs and is fully stocked from kitchen to laundry room. We've stayed at many rentals over the years and this home had one of the best stocked kitchens we've seen. We were at Salt Sea for five nights and could have easily stayed for five more. If you are looking for a beautiful home with an even more beautiful view, this is the perfect rental for you!

Family Memories 2024 - Sand Sea

The property was above and beyond! Just like the pictures and the location was perfect for the entire family - grandkids (, 4, 9 and 13 included). We loved the easy access to the beach or to uptown. Beach access being right beside this home was perfect and the kids enjoyed "walking thru the Jungle :)) Our 9 year old granddaughter didn't want to leave.....told her we would definitely be back! Highly recommend "Sand Sea".

Perfect Beach House! Surfer’s Dream!

We LOVED staying at Salt Sea!! It is a great house! Amazing views of the ocean and very private! The house is clean, comfortable and spacious. We loved the sunroom and screened porches (all have ocean views!) We saw dolphin pods go by almost every morning! We love to surf and Salt Sea is located at Folly’s best surf spot! Kitchen has everything you need! The back yard area has a grill too. There’s also an outdoor table and outdoor shower with hot water! We enjoyed this vacation so much!!!! Looking forward to staying at Salt Sea again!!!

Gorgeous Beach House

This is such a beautiful house! Had all the amenities we needed. Our family of six really enjoyed this amazing place. There were spacious rooms for everyone! I was able to make breakfast every morning and then the kids and husband enjoyed the beach, right in the backyard! My mother enjoyed the backyard porch while listening to the waves. We were able to visit the little shops in the area and also took one day trip to Charleston. Communication with Steven was excellent even before we arrived. Thank you also for the wonderful gifts! We truly enjoyed our time here and reconnected with the family during this stay.
