March visit don’t hesitate !

As described, great location walk to everything. Host very responsive, nice area, would stay again. No crowds, not everything was open but enough to fill a few days! Close to petosky and Mackinac.

Art in the Castle

This was exactly what we expected, even more actually. So comfortable, beautifully furnished, well stocked and thoughtfully staged and supplied. Everything we needed was right there and available. While this was a working trip for us, we feel like we took a bit of vacation as well in this wonderful home. We will definitely stay here again should the opportunity arise!

Girls’ Weekend Getaway

This property was very clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the large living room that was very relaxing, especially with the gas fireplace. We did minimal cooking, but it was nice to have plenty of cookware and dishes. The sheer window coverings made for less privacy and were not dark enough for sleeping with the streetlight shining in and once it was daylight. Otherwise, it is a nice home.

Comfortable cute and supplied the necessaries coffee paper products clean towels comfy beds AC etc. Lots of great hangout spaces in home, close to shops and lake.

Great location for a great price

Within walking distance from the beach and downtown. Great neighborhoods for walking. Great layout for visiting, cooking, laughing and spending time together. We had a great girls weekend. Highly recommend this place!

Great location, very clean!

We were so pleased with the location of the property. It was short walk, about 5 minutes, to town and to the beach. Our kids loved the library and the library park across the street. The house was very clean.

Always a great visit

This is our third time to Charlevoix and second summer in a row staying at this house. The location can’t be beat, as it is close to both downtown and the beach. Shawn does a great job maintaining the house and is always super responsive with questions and extremely accommodating for my family. We can’t wait to come back again.

Awesome Place

The layout and location of this place could not have been better for our vacation. We had 7 people, including 2 kids and I liked how they had kids books and games available. Easy walk to town, Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix. The amenities are great and there is plenty of space outside to eat and hang out. We are already planning a return trip!

Beautiful Charlevoix

Charlevoix is a beautiful town. We fell in love with Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix. And, this home was perfect for our stay. The location is wonderful- walk a couple minutes one way to the beach, and a few in the other direction to town. We had plenty of room, but the house still felt cozy. Shawn was a wonderful host- communication was easy. Not sure when we will return to Michigan, but we hope we can stay in one of his properties next time.

Perfect Location

Great house in a great town

This house was perfect for our stay in Charlevoix. The location can’t be beat - short walk to downtown and to the beach - and it was so nice to leave the cars parked and walk everywhere. I loved the house! It had everything we needed from a well-stocked kitchen to very comfortable beds. The layout of the house was great for our family - plenty of space to chill on a comfy couch or daybed for a little rest time😉 Thank you to Shawn for being the perfect host - we will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful family vacation

We’ve been coming to Charlevoix since childhood to visit family. We now bring our littles to experience the joy of the beaches, downtown, food, and enjoy time with our extended family. We’ve stayed in a handful or more rental homes, but this was the best. The location, set up of the home, and host communication made our stay truly wonderful. The attention to details for all ages is spot on. Thank you for the beautiful memories 💕

One of the best!

Everything about this property was fantastic... walking distance to shopping, quiet, neighborhood, lovely setting. The owners attention to detail was obvious from the moment you pull in the driveway. Loved the decor of the house! Wasn’t looking for a library but just have to add that the library across the street is the nicest library I’ve ever been to. Truly one of the bestvrbo properties we’ve stayed at!

Great place to stay for our visit

Very nice, clean and comfortable place. Check in went well and the house was great. The only issue we had was that the breaker for the bathroom lights tripped a couple of times. Not sure what we had plugged in to trip it but it really was no big deal. Just reset it and all was good.

Location was excellent as expected for the price. The house was in good condition but there are a couple minor downsides for consideration. There is no HVAC upstairs which can make for uncomfortable sleeping. Also right now there’s heavy construction going on next door which causes a lot of noise and many people/trucks coming and going throughout the day.

Charming head knocker

What a cute inviting place this was!! They thought of everything down to the smallest detail. I would be careful if you have someone that has an older clientele or bad knees due to the stairs being pretty steep and short steps. Also if you are over 6 foot then having a ice pack on hand for the couple of head knocks you will receive from the ceilings and doors. But really a great location to everything right across street from library and down the street from the beach and the center of downtown. Would most definitely stay here again.

Clean house, No Yard, strict behavior requirements.

We enjoyed the house and the location. Nice decore. Close to town and the beach. We took good care and were not there much but when we were there we had children and young special need adults that like to play outside. This house was not good for that as there is no yard and houses are close together. As a fellow Vrbo owner, I made sure that the place was clean swept and even mopped before we left. We found out after checking out that the neighbors were unhappy with us. The houses are way too close together if you have kids who like to run and play. The owners threatened to take our damage deposit even though we didn’t damage anything. I was offended by the owners emotionally charged attack on me when we left the house in good condition.
