Great Experience

The property was as presented in the overview. Everything you needed for meal preparation was available. It was a very quick walk to the main shopping area. I’d come back again.

Very Enjoyable Stay

Beautiful place, very centrally located. Photos on the listing do not do justice to the space, it is larger, brighter, very aesthetically done up. Really enjoyed our stay there.

quick get away

My husband and I had a very nice stay. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching all of the boats. The location is perfect for walking downtown and enjoying all of the cute shops along the way. The condo was perfect and very comfortable.

Lovely Lakeside Lodging

The unit far exceeded expectations -- it was much bigger than it appeared in the pictures, was in the best location in town, and had an amazing view (and all-weather room to enjoy it in!). A fully-stocked kitchen, prime garage parking, and well-appointed decor that made us feel right at home. The host was super responsive and accomodating, and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly, highly recommend!

Lovely Condo

The condo was like new and had plenty of space. The view was fantastic, and it was nice being able to walk to restaurants. Kitchen was well stocked, but you do need to bring your own coffee and sugar.

Great Fall Getaway

As our trip was in late October and early November, we thought we may have missed the fall colors. However a trip through the tunnel of trees was wonderful. Almost no traffic. Had plenty of time to take plenty of photos. We walked the beaches several times in search of Petoskey stones. The condo was neat and clean, loved the lay out. Plenty of room. Had a few small problems. The owner was very responsive and helpful.

Beautiful Setting- comfy condo

The condo was lovely, well equipped and clean with a wonderful view of Round Lake. We are frequent visitors to the area and made good use of the condo's central location to many of the activities we enjoy. We came for a family reunion. Our only concern is that the condo was listed as "accessible" (my only search factor). The owner advised us of a step to get to the elevator but it was more than a regular step and would have been impossible to negotiate with a wheelchair. Closer inspection of the photos showed that the bathrooms could not be made accessible for someone requiring assistance with transfers. I was prepared to bring a shower chair and potty raiser to make it work, but the shower door would have prevented assisted transfers. For this and other reasons, my husband opted out of the trip.

Hideaway in the heart of town

In need of relaxing and a quick getaway for my 60th Birthday, this condo fit the bill and then some. After parking our car in the included garage, we didn’t drive it again until three days later. The harbor views, comfortable furnishings, quick access to restaurants, coffee shops and groceries gave us options to eat out or dine in, (utilizing the fully stocked kitchen) and made it difficult to leave “our nest” for long. LOL. Truth be told, the condo was extremely spacious, but we always found ourselves curled up in the comfy wing back chairs in the sunroom. We read, had meals there and just chilled, watching the boats come and go, and all the birds: two eagles, ducks, loons, swans, the ubiquitous gulls…we didn’t even mind the rain. The Grey Gables for dinner was our best meal in town, and the tiny Harbor View Cafe by Olsen’s market offered one of the best breakfasts we had. We also took advantage of a great local photographer to get some candid photos. Michael Murphy IV was fabulous and his skill and personality made for a relaxing and enjoyable session. Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas? Ha! We also made time to visit two nearby parks and found our fill of Petoskey and Charlevoix stones. Mt. McSauba Recreation area is a close drive away and perfect for hiking. We’re already thinking about coming back to enjoy the fall colors. Can’t rave enough!

Boyne Thunder Weekend on Round Lake!

This place was the perfect location to take in all excitement in Round Lake for Boyne Thunder! We kept our boat at the Charlevoix City Marina which is just steps away. The location to downtown Charlevoix can’t be beat. Everything is within walking distance(grocery store/coffee shop/party store/restaurants). We enjoyed waking up every morning and drinking our coffee on the patio, watching boats come and go as the sun came up over Round Lake. After breakfast we would head out to the boat. We would come back and grill/make dinner at the condo before heading out for a sunset cruise out on Lake MI or to town for a few drinks. The condo has great views of Round Lake from the living room, kitchen, patio and master bedroom. I believe the pictures on VRBO do not do it justice. Tall ceilings and spacious rooms makes this condo feel quite large and luxury! The host was quick to respond with any questions or concerns we had both before and during our stay. My only suggestion/heads up would be: a few more options for cooking/frying pans in the kitchen. A few times we went to sauté veggies or cook breakfast and we had to use multiple smaller pans in order to fit everything. If you have a larger truck, it will not fit in the garage. This was not an issue for us as the marina provided free parking several blocks away. However there was a couple times throughout the week where we had wished we could park closer. These were not deal breakers. We would absolutely stay here again!
