Honestly the cottage was amazing. Very updated, looked just like the pictures. There were more rooms and beds than advertised which was a bonus! All very comfortable too. We were very happy, would book again. Swimming right off the rocks was an added bonus again. Bring comfy outside chairs, that is all that was missing!

I was looking for 5 nights away on the lake, by myself. Mission accomplished! The cottage was clean, but not spotless. If you are looking for something like your home or better, this is not the place for you. If you are seeking a relaxing "cottage" experience, then this is works. As stated in early reviews, TV didn't work well, even though the host brought a new one. BBQ absolutely disgustingly unusable! Should have been replaced years ago.Cottage is musty, could use a dehumidifier, but what do you expect being so close to the water? Be prepared to find cobwebs every morning and earwigs throughout your stay. As with a trailer, "tickets" (toilet paper) goes in the garbage , due to septic system.Walking or bike path in McGeachy Pond Conservation Area west, just a few houses up the street. Many trails in the area. Nice beach and Pier, 6 minute drive.Would rent again, just for the serenity and morning and night view of the lake.

Accomodation not accurately advertised

Inside was clean but outside was not maintained. Barbecue advertised as working but it was rusted and falling apart, extremely moldy, not useable and probably hadn't been used for years so we did not even try to use it. Window sills full of bugs and, likewise back of house on beach side and deck required 2-4 hours of cleaning to make useable and open windows for ventilation and comfotrtably use back deck We did not try to use air conditioning given the outside conditions and uncertainty about maintenance and filters cleanliness. Fire extinguisher needed recharging and front door screen latch rusted and freezes when closed potentially locking us out from door lock pad to get in, We needed to loosen screw on screen door latch lock to prevent this. Likely small septic field, so request to not flush toilet paper but put into garbage bags not advertised until after we signed. Location, on lake edge with breeze and close to birding marsh could be more enjoyable with proper maintenance

Good location. Great view. The furnace doesn’t work. The tv wouldn’t stay on longer than 3 minutes. The entire house smells strongly of mold and mildew. Grass was very long. Were told at midnight the night before check in that we couldn’t put toilet paper in the toilet. The inoperable septic system should have been disclosed. We wouldn’t have booked the property had we known.
