Wonderful house and location
We were attracted by the Art Deco house and it really met our expectations. So well equipped and very comfortable. Good location as not far from famouse places like Bamburgh, Holy Island and Alnwick.

Unique Art Deco property
An outstanding property in an ideal location to enjoy Northumberland’s beautiful coastline. Well designed to take advantage of the views on offer, superbly equipped and great communication from the owner. A stone’s throw from Seahouses. Bamburgh and Beadnell Bay. I would thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic property
Great location, just across the road from the beach and the local convenience shop. Clean, comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. Our family of six found it spacious and quiet.

Great House in the Friendliest Place
Everything about our stay was fantastic. Helen was very quick to respond to emails before and during our stay. The house was amazing, and the welcoming touches, from multiple professional arrangements of fresh flowers throughout the house and the very generous welcome basket of food and sparkling wine, were exceptional. The location is extraordinary, and best of all were the extremely friendly people we met. We were really missing our dog (too old and large to travel internationally), but most of the locals had dogs and were very happy to let us pet them and chat about them. Northumberland may be the friendliest place we’ve ever been!

Fantastic!
The property was amazing, with a beautiful sea view! It had all we wanted. Very spacious, clean and well equipped. With a wide age range of children, it is always difficult to keep them all entertained but we found the location was brilliant with loads to do. We loved that the house was across the road from the beach and enjoyed playing football & cricket and building sandcastles in the sand! Thoroughly recommend!

Wonderful property in perfect location
Such a beautiful property in such an amazing location. The house is immaculately clean and the kitchen has all the equipment, cookware and dishes you could.possibly need. The welcome basket was also very much appreciated! We thoroughly enjoyed playing pool in the evenings and my little boy was very happy with all the games and toys also provided. Comfy beds and lovely bathrooms - I can thoroughly recommend a soak in the huge jacuzzi bath. Helen is an amazing host, quick to respond to queries and has very kindly sent our little ones tablet back to us after we left it at the property after our departure. The views from multiple balconies are stunning, especially from the third floor. The location is perfect for exploring the coast. If you get the chance to stay at this property grab it - its beautiful.

Beautiful and spacious house with fantastic views
We are a family of 6 adults and found the house to be very spacious and well equipped. The top floor was a favourite morning space, we particularly enjoyed watching the changing tides. A welcome hamper was provided and contained the basics tea, coffee plus some extra treats of cakes, biscuits and a bottle of prosecco! We had organised an online shop which arrived the first evening with no problem. There were lots of extras we have not seen in other places including all cleaning products, washing powder, tin foil, cling film and extra toilet rolls, salt a pepper sachets. The fresh flowers were also a lovely touch. The house itself was well situated 5 mins walk from the Craster Arms, where we had a couple of very tasty meals and was 45 min walk along the beach into Seahouses where there were a number of places to eat, we took a boat trip on Serenity to the seal colony and it was fantastic to see so many seals close up, both on the island and in the sea, they also gave a good commentary during the trip. We had a very busy week and could easily have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this house.

We had a wonderful week. The house was spacious and very well equipped. Toys and games for our grandchildren and furniture and furnishings, dishes etc all of the best quality So much thought has gone into this house Brilliant location. Minutes to walk to the beautiful beach and the sun shine for us.

Amazing house
Some problems with booking and had a lot of problems getting InTouch with VrBO and was passed about insurance company phoneing USA at one point, an expensive phone call with no resuloitin to my problem ,Helen the owner is amazing ,she was prompt and very very helpful in trying to help me ,she replied to my e mails promptly,we made a lot of happy memories at your beautiful home Helen our family didn't want to leave ,a massive thank you for making my and my husband's birthday even more special

Wonderful
Our party of 4 adults from start to finish enjoyed staying at this magnificent house. We arrived to a beautifully presented house with great instructions and couldn’t ask for it being better equipped. The position, close to the beach (great views) and local eateries was excellent without needing a car and in respect of being well placed for touring it was just perfect. We cannot thank Helen enough for her communication.

Wonderful house with great location
We had a great holiday in Beadnell. There's lots to do in the area and the house was a great size for 6 of us. The kitchen was very well appointed and various guests enjoyed the spa bath.

Wonderful welcoming house
The house is absolutely amazing and Helen the owner has thought of everything! From the welcome tray with local goodies and Prosecco to the extremely well equipped kitchen. (Including lobster crackers!). Every detail is catered for- table football for the children and billiards too. We loved it! The location is wonderful; Beadnell really is a little Haven itself, peace and quiet but close to Seahouses and Alnwick. This house deserves every accolade going!

Lovely house in an excellent location
Communication with the owner was excellent. Clear instructions given for arrival. A lovely welcome tray with essentials including coffee for the machine. Lots of cleaning products and all essentials in the bathrooms included. The house is very comfortable and has amazing views. Easy access to the beach and all tourist attractions in short journeys. An excellent place to stay as a family with children (or without). Top tip: have an online shop delivered, we used Sainsburys but saw Morrison’s and Asda. Good Coop in Seahouses, large Sainsburys, Aldi and Lidl in Anwick.

Great property in lovely location
A great property in a lovely location. The host met us on arrival to give some additional details about the house. It's a stunning property with well equipped kitchen, plenty of space and amazing views. The tray of goodies was a great welcome to ease us into our weekend.

Lovely House in a Great Location
The property is striking both from the outside and from within and provides the perfect base for a family holiday. It is extremely well appointed, comprehensively equipped and is particularly child friendly. The views of the coast from the two lounges are terrific. Beadnell has an excellent pub, cafe and shop, a small but attractive harbour and an extensive sandy beach. The house is also well positioned for exploring the area with places such as Seahouses, Bamborough and Craster only a short drive away.

Amazing house and views
Have always admired this house from afar. Decided to book it to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday with friends. We had a great weekend and made lots of memories. The house has everything you need, lots of space so you are never on top of each other. The pool table kept the kids entertained all weekend. If you are looking for somewhere to stay and recharge your batteries then this is ideal. Lots of lovely walks along the stunning beaches. Nice jacuzzi bath to relax and unwind after a day's walk. Would love to return sometime.

A wonderful house in a perfect location for a family and friends holiday
The house lived up to its description with many extra details to make us feel comfortable and welcome. It worked well for a 'big birthday' celebratory holiday with friends and family of three generations. The views of the sea from inside and proximity to the beach when anyone wanted to go out for however short a time were much appreciated. The shop on the way to the beach was a bonus we had missed in advance of arriving, and the frequency of buses passing would encourage us to use them on a future occasion. Meanwhile, there were plenty of places to walk to and easy access by road to many lovely and interesting places within a short distance.

an iconic property with every possible need met. Wonderful views from 1st/2nd floor living space
Our whole family inc in-laws (8 total) enjoyed our stay here. loads to do in the area and beautiful long stretceds of sandy beaches nearby. Easy access to Alnick and Bambugh castles. Our thanks to Helen who was always helpful on queries right up to our arrival. Shope almost opposite stocked everything. They also ran a lovely cafe next to shop but opening times seemed to be a bit haphazard! Also recommend the Italian restaurant in Seahouses (2 miles)

Unique, comfortable house with sea views
Eight adults and one child had a great time staying at Helen's house. It was spacious and comfortable with lovely sea views. Just a minute from the beach and a short distance from Bamburgh and Seahouses. The house was exceptionally well equipped with pool table, football table and plenty of games adults. In addition there were lots of children's games and toys. Also supplied were toiletries in all the bathrooms, dishwashers tablets and even charcoal for the barbecue. Little extras like fresh flowers and a Welcome pack made us feel very welcome. Before our stay I emailed Helen a number of times and she always responded very promptly. I would definitely recommend this house.

Fabulous house - perfect location.
What can I say except we had the most fantastic week! The house is just stunning with everything you could possibly need and more. Beautifully furnished and for a family with young children, loads of toys and games to keep them amused. For the grown-ups, there is also plenty to do, even on a rainy day. We were very lucky with the weather, sunny all week with just one morning of rain. The local shop in Beadnell is right opposite the house, very convenient for those last minute goodies! There are lots of lovely walks - it's only 2 miles to Seahouses where you'll find shops and plenty of nice places to eat. There is a beautiful children's playground in the village which has picnic tables, ideal if you don't want to walk too far and the pub in the village is great for Sunday lunch. All in all, the ideal place for a family holiday and as a base for exploring Northumberland. The only problem for me is that it's a long drive from home or I'd be there more often! That said, it was well worth the journey, we all loved it. Thank you for letting us experience your beautiful home.

What a fantastic place
This place is amazing, the house itself is perfectly situated for views and local amenities. The bedrooms with their crisp white linen and most comfortable beds ever, the lounge/kitchen/games room were equipped with everything you might need and both spacious and homely. The top floor view was superb and we all enjoyed the telescope. The terraces were little sun traps and the small garden was just enough to have Al fresco lunch. The owner has put a lot of thought and time into this property from the little instruction notes dotted around the place to the beautiful fresh cut flowers in every room. I would definitely book this property again and intend to do so soon.

Well equipped house, beautiful part of the country

Beautiful house, magical views.
Every detail has been attended to by the owners. We knew this when we arrived with a pizza and there was a pizza cutter in the kitchen. You could not find a better equipped or more comfortable house. The changing sky makes the views especially wonderful. You can sit at those huge windows and just watch before strolling down to the beach to see loads of different sea birds and waders. A really fantastic place to stay with family and friends. Thank you.

Stylish Art Deco house very well equipped with everything you could need annd very welcoming .
We are a family of 9 - seven adults two children and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 1-2 the Haven. The boys spent their days catching crabs in the rock pools on the beach across the road. We visited Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne Holy Island and Alnick castle where they learned to fly with Harry Potter and the Dragon quest. We then had a splendid lunch in the Tree Tops restaurant and a look around the gardens. visited Seahouses and another beach for a family game of cricket and rounders. We were all sorry when the time came for us to depart for home. A brilliant time was had by all.

Amazing house by the sea

Fantastic house, fantastic location, fantastic holiday !!
We booked this as a central location for sightseeing at The Farne Islands, Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles, Beamish museum .....and a few other places in the area. The house is as good as it looks in the pictures - with all the ameneties you could want. We weren't disappointed ! - in fact one of the days the weather was rough and we didn't venture anywhere, but the house and beach were so nice it was great to stick around Beadnell. We had a smashing week - even though we had several seasons in the 7 days we were there. Can't recommend it enough - it's a lovely house in a lovely village. A week isn't long enough !!

Highly recommended!
We are a family of four and stayed in this house with another family of four (so four adults and four children aged between 9 and 12). For us it was the perfect holiday home with plenty of space for everyone and we never felt like we were on top of one another. The layout was great with the bedrooms on the ground floor, main living space (including kitchen and games room on the middle floor) and another living space on the top floor. The children loved the top room, the pool table and all of the board games provided. The adults loved the views and sitting out on the balcony. The house was immaculately clean and very well equipped. The location is also great with the beach straight across the road, views to the Farne islands and the shops and restaurants in Seahouses only a couple of minutes drive away. It's definitely one of the best holidays houses we have stayed in, the owner was very efficient, helpful and easy to communicate with and we would highly recommend it to anyone considering a holiday in the area.
