The Bamburgh Castle Inn - The Inn Collection Group

The Bamburgh Castle Inn - The Inn Collection Group

8/10 Good
"Great location with lovely views over the harbour. Full of character. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room was in the Annex on the back, but it was very comfortable with a huge queen size bed. The bathroom was ok with a modest cubicle shower, but larger people may struggle with the size. We were lucky to arrive mid day and parked at the hotel. There are limited spaces and you may need to park elsewhere and pay. In high season this could be difficult and Seahouses is small and gets packed. The bar menu was good, but restricted and what we did eat was very tasty. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good selection, but the food a bit hit and miss for freshness. You can however, order options from the menu. The hotel is a great base for the walk to Bamburgh Castle (3 miles along the beach or along the coast path if the tide turns). The walk to the boats for the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne takes two minutes. A very popular hotel and bar for dog walkers, of which there were many! Would we stay again? Yes!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Sanderling. The hut had everything we needed and was the perfect base for exploring this beautiful area. The views were absolutely stunning, with Beadnell Bay on one side and views towards Seahouses on the other. The little extra touches were a lovely addition and made our stay feel even more special. The owners go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. The location was perfect for exploring the Northumberland coast, and we also really enjoyed a visit to the Craster Arms, a great local pub nearby. We would definitely recommend The Sanderling"
