I booked the lake side Lodge for my partners birthday, from the moment of getting there the experience was gorgeous, beautiful Lodge with stunning views. The food in the restaurant was absolutely beautiful, the best steak ive had, melted in your mouth, the staff were helpful, polite and the decor throughout was very boutique..would definitely book to go again.

The property is in a lovely setting and as the sun was shining we enjoyed an evening glass of wine on the patio looking over the gardens and tipi. The restaurant, public areas and the bedrooms were all pristine and food of a great standard, when in the area we would definitely stay again.

Couldn’t recommend The Tenpus at Charlton Hall more! We stayed in one of the lakeside lodges and had such a lovely relaxing time. We had planned to eat at the Lobster Pot in Bamburgh but lucky for us they were a chef down and couldn’t accommodate us so we ate in the Tempus restaurant which was outstanding. I didn’t catch our servers name but he was so friendly and made us very welcome. Food was delicious. Can’t wait to book again… absolutely loved everything about our visit.

Stayed in the Pole Barn. Room was nicely furnished and had comfortable bed. Did not use bar or have dinner but the breakfast was excellent and service was very attentive. Had a lovely walk round the grounds. Only thing that slightly spoiled our stay was noisy neighbours on the last night. It would not put us off staying again though.

The Tempus is such a beautiful hotel. Each room is magnificently decorated, and has a sense of luxury and elegance. The bar and breakfast are ideal and, again, beautifully designed. Driving up the mile long tree-lined drive, you know you’re in for something special, and The Tempus does not disappoint. Thank you for a lovely stay!
