We had a wonderful two days at Hummingbird Haven!!! The house was clean and ready for us :) The view is Spectacular and a working hot tub is such a relief. I feel most places that advertise hot tubs never work properly. The only downside is where the fire pit is located and the outdoor lighting. Its dangerous for younger kids to get to the fire pit and the outdoor lighting did not work well at night. Obviously not a deal break because we had a great time visiting Ellijay and Fort Mountain State Park, both great and fun! Thank you

Yes. The house and view were great. But the scenic byway road was treacherous as we came in after dark. Switch back road, fog, deer crossing s all without street lights was harrowing! And the driveway was not well marked! I suggest some type of unique lighting at and along driveway for better visibility.

Clean and welcoming. Enjoyed the seasonal screen saver on the TV when entering - small touches. While my spouse and I loved it all, the access to the fire pit would have been difficult for elder family members had then joined. Only thought I had about the listing. Thanks!

It was our second time there and we are already planning our third! It was very clean and has a comfortable home-like feeling with a beautiful view! The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. Our dog loves having the decks to roam on and we love that they are closed in. Out of all of the cabins we have been in, this is our number one!

Cabin was beautiful !!! Back deck was awesome! Loved seeing the bears! Driveway was in no way a favorite of ours. Made us feel uneasy getting in and turning around.Firepit location was a large disappointment. I called to insure it was going to be easy access for us to use and was told very easy yet we were unable to get to the location of the pit. Felt it was in a dangerous location and the walk to get there was dangerous. Had a problem with the carbon monoxide detector beeping and maintence came in a timely manner to try to fix. His fix was to unplug the unit and leave us with no protection. I called back to ask if it could be replaced and he came back the next day with a new one. It to was beeping after he left, told us how to fix it and we were good to go then. Overall, the stay was very nice, just wish we had known the correct information about the firepit mainly as that was going to be one of our main sources of entertainment.

Absolutely the best view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The home is well maintained. Pretty comfortable. You can definitely tell that the home is 20 years old with some out of date features and we did wish that the sofa sectional had actual working recliners. The kitchen is amazing and has literally every tool, pot, pan you can think of for cooking. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the property to friends. We would stay here again.

Huge, clean cabin with a stellar view!

The house is was more than enough for our family of 5 to be comfortable and have our own bathrooms. The showers had great pressure and warm water. We just wish we had booked more time to spend here. You won’t regret staying here!

Excellent accommodations

Hummingbird Haven is a perfect getaway spot. With a stunning view of the Cohutta Wilderness, this sumptuous cabin is fully kitted-out with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Fort Mountain State Park is just down the road for amazing hikes, vistas and mysterious ancient walls that fascinated the former archeologist in our group. We are already planning a return to this aptly named haven.tougroup.

Marvelous time!

The mountain view from the huge windows inside and on the deck is absolutely amazing! Loved using the grill for our meals and the hot tub- both located on the deck with the mountain view. Inside of cabin is beautiful and comfy. Will definitely be back!

Running retreat

This was the 2nd year a few friends and I stayed at the Hummingbird House to spend the weekend trail running at Fort Mountain. We had a great stay- the house is beautiful, the view is stunning and watching the hummingbirds never gets old. The property manager was very responsive. They provide a stack of DVD’s but the player wasn’t working and then we had issues logging into the TV and called the property manager- he immediately sent someone out to deal with it and bring us a brand new DVD player.

Great place to relax

We enjoyed the hot tub early in the mornings. We spent mid-days put sight seeing and eating, but we looked forward to returning to Hummingbird Haven to relax and unwind.

Amazing!

We had the best time. It is a beautiful cabin and location. It had everything we needed. We were very comfortable the whole trip. My only note, and definitely not a deal breaker. I wish we were allowed access to the thermostat. I know we came during a weird time. The beginning of the trip it was in the 80s and the heat was on. Then the end of the trip it was 55 at night 60s during the day and the AC was on. It was either hot or cold inside the cabin. But definitely not a deal breaker. We had a wonderful time!

Great property

We celebrated our son turning 20 by visiting this cabin and had a great experience! Cabin was clean, spacious, and allowed us to bring our well behaved dogs. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table- there was enough space to spread out and we really, really enjoyed the view. Great communication by the hosts. Would rent again!

Peaceful Getaway

Just what we needed for a family get away. Very private. Everyone had their own space. Nearby was Fort Mountain state park. Excellent hiking and biking trails.

Thanksgiving getaway

We came with my elderly parents and brother. We really enjoyed the big fireplace and the master being on the main floor with a walk in shower for my parents. The hot tub was great on the deck but made a lot of noise at night as it went on and off. A few rugs would have been a nice addition to the place so you’d get out of bed on a soft surface. It was really cold the days we were there so we used the fire from morning till bed time, which was great. The place is lovely and it has been well maintained. The property manager was helpful and responsive when we needed towels for the bathrooms and help with the Nest thermostat. Overall a great experience.
