"We had an incredible stay at this Chauvin property and can't recommend it highly enough. The location right on the bayou is unbeatable — the sunrises and sunsets over the water were absolutely stunning, and it's an ideal home base for anyone looking to fish (redfish were biting right nearby, which made it even better for us).The home itself was spotless and incredibly well stocked. We barely had to bring anything — everything we needed was already there, from kitchen essentials to linens. It's clear the host puts real care into making sure guests are comfortable.Speaking of the host, they were fantastic — responsive, welcoming, and clearly proud of the property. It showed in every detail.If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, well-equipped place with gorgeous bayou views and great fishing access, this is it. We'll definitely be booking again!"

"This was a last minute stay for my husband and I and another couple . We usually do a yearly fishing trip to chauvin ,the whole family usually stay at one sight but this year we decided to go at last minute. The pelican View Lodge was incredible it had everything a true fisherman /fisherwoman would need and want the outdoor had a place for everyone in the family for whatever activities you were having . Like boil crab/shrimp they had a set up , frying fish or grilling they had a set up, having drinks at the bar they had a setup , fishing off the deck they had a setup. Family gathering on the upstairs deck there was a setup plus a screen in sitting area. This is all outside plus two boat launch area right on the water . Just come down stairs and hop in the boat for easy access to the water way . The inside was clean nice and comfortable they thought of everything to make your stay as pleasant and unforgettable as can be . Our only regret is not staying longer . This is definitely a MOST BOOK CAMP."

"My wife and I stayed here with some friends for a charter fishing trip, and the house was very nice … exactly as advertised. Great host, with solid communication. Plenty of space, great amenities and very well stocked, big bedrooms, huge living room, nice relaxing deck right over the bayou canal (with a small gator that visited us at night), with an overall classy decor and vibe for a clean, like-home feel. Also had ample parking options (including for trailered boats, if needed). The house could use a little bit of maintenance here and there, but nothing that detracts significantly. We definitely would stay here again for future trips."

"We had an amazing stay and couldn't have been happier with this rental! We've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals over the years, and this was by far the best-equipped one we've ever rented. The kitchen had just about everything you could think of, there were plenty of towels, and it truly felt like a home away from home.One thing that really stood out was the beds. They were incredibly comfortable! Anyone who stays at fishing camps knows that the beds are often the one thing that gets overlooked, but not here. We all slept great every night.The hosts were also fantastic. We accidentally tripped a breaker (completely our fault!), and they responded immediately and got us taken care of. Their communication was excellent from start to finish.The location was perfect for our fishing trip. We caught several sharks, lots of redfish, and limited out on speckled trout almost every day. After long days on the water, it was great coming back to such a comfortable place.This property made our trip even better, and we definitely plan to come back next July or August if our work schedules allow. We highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, exceptionally well-stocked place with wonderful hosts. Thank you for helping make our trip such a memorable one!"
