Holiday cottage converted from an old farmhouse in a rural hamlet, near the Chinon forest and the Indre Valley, on a two-hectare wooded property. Wines can be purchased from winemakers recommended by the owner. A truffle orchard has been established on the property for three years.

Ground floor: living room/kitchen 27 m² (multifunction oven, sofa bed), 1st bedroom (two single beds 90cm each), 2nd bedroom (one double bed 140cm), shower room, WC. Electric heating (charged separately based on meter reading). Color TV. Wi-Fi. Landscaped, unfenced garden of 20,000 m² shared with the cottage and the owner, open garage. Cot and highchair available upon request. Firewood provided. Two adult-sized electric bikes available for rent (additional charge). End-of-stay cleaning included. A play structure and pétanque court with equipment are available. This is a non-smoking property. The cottage, located in a hamlet, was renovated in 1995 respecting traditional construction methods. Don't miss a visit to the village of Cheillé, where you'll see the three-hundred-year-old oak tree that has grown through the church walls, and the Château de l'Islette (the setting for the passionate love affair between Camille Claudel and Auguste Rodin). The area is ideal for hiking in the Chinon forest, located 500 meters away (near the GR3 long-distance hiking trail), and for exploring numerous walking and cycling routes (including the Indre à Vélo cycle route in the heart of the Indre Valley, so beloved by Balzac). Canoeing and kayaking are available on the Indre River.

The property is also close to the castles of Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry, Langeais, Rigny-Ussé, Chinon, Rivau, and Saché. A stone's throw from the troglodyte village and basketry of Villaines-les-Rochers, the dried pear of Rivarennes, and the riverside village of Bréhémont.

Recommendations for tasting the AOC wines of Azay-le-Rideau and/or Chinon are available from the owner, an ambassador for the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Natural Park.
