The ladies working there were very sweet and helpful. Everywhere they recommended was on point. The room was very clean and comfortable. I'm going back for a longer stay!

This mom & pop motel is an exceptional find!

This place is a gem and we will certainly stay there in the future. When we arrived the room was warm and there was a bucket of ice in the mini-fridge. This is not a large chain location. Many small touches from rolled towels to hand soaps, to a small rubber ducky on the bathroom towel set make this a comfortable place. I was able to park my my truck up right in front of the room door. I was unsure of our stay since the price point was excellent. I can see now that this establishment likely makes good money on tips. The only review deficiency I made was in comfort by one star due to the mattresses being softer than I like. That is a minimal thing that some would differ in opinion. The overall stay was excellent and superior to the $400/night resort down the street.

Friendly staff. Well maintained facilities. A little dated and showing signs of age, but not like we expected a luxury resort. Perfect mix of affordable, clean, quiet and friendly. Will definitely stay again.

Great mountain getaway

Fantastic family-owned mountain business. Incredibly friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. You cannot go wrong with a stay at the Maggie Valley Cardinal Inn.

The manager was very helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the water. Very rusty. I made coffee with it not realizing how bad it was. Yuck.

Great time

Comfy beds, updated rooms—shower was large and relaxing- very clean. Loved having a fire pit and lawn chairs to use in the evening. The complementary coffee, hot cocoa and popcorn in the room were a wonderful addition. The convenience of parking directly outside your room was an added bonus.

Beautiful old retro motel but with the modern amenities that travelers have come to expect. Staying here was an exceptional trip into the past. It made me long for the good ole days. Absolutely loved this place!

This is a very clean and cute motel. The owners do a lot to please their customers. The lot is on the smaller side, so if there is more than one person there with a car trailer, it takes juggling around and good maneuvering around during your stay.

The Cardinal Inn is wonderful and serene. The rooms are updated and extremely clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Easy walk to shopping, dining etc. We stay here every year and will be back. Thank you.

Everything was comfortable, quiet, and clean. Checking in and out was a breeze. The staff communicates so well! Plenty of linens and towels. We’ll definitely be staying here again when visiting Maggie Valley!
