Cherokee Village is minutes from Hardy, Ark and the Spring River .

Swimming at the Lake Thunderbird pool does require a guest pass, please indicate if you will need passes for your stay. The rec center does charge $3.50 per person for a day of swimming. On Lake Thunderbird there is a designated beach area. At Hiawatha house enjoy the back porch watching the sunrise in the morning with lots of music from the woods nearby. There are three bedrooms, 2 bedrooms each have a queen bed and 1 bedroom has 2 full sized beds. Plenty of closet space for putting your bags, etc away. 2 full bathrooms - the master bath has a walk in shower and hall bath has tub. Towels, toilet paper and basic bath wash and shampoo are provided - enough for a 2 night stay. There is a washer/dryer available for your use. There are 2 sleep cots for kids-under the age of 5 in the closet of the bedroom with the full size beds. Each room has nightlights , ceiling fans and plenty of outlets for recharging phones, etc. The kitchen has cookware, dishes, glassware and utensils and a dishwasher. A coffee maker is available. The fridge has plenty of space, but does NOT have an ice maker so you may want to bring a bag of ice. The kitchen table is limited to seating of 4 but there are tv type trays in the closet along with a table and chairs on the patio.
The back porch/deck has a table, umbrella and chairs for dining outside, charcoal grill and extra chairs.
Lots of events throughout the year in the area include Cave City features their watermelon festival in July, Beatles music festival at the Ridge in Walnut Ridge in September are very popular along with live music in Hardy on the weekends, Fourth of July celebration at Lake Thunderbird and Hardy Christmas parade are just a few of the favorites. Small pets are allowed at Hiawatha house (under 25 lbs) for an additional fee. Please note that there is not a fence and there is wildlife so be careful of leaving pets outdoors unattended.
