Property was not ready for our stay
Although there are several smaller problems with the cottage that we could live with, there were three major ones that were problematic:
-1- The was no propane for the bbq and no lighter provided.
-2- We were missing a fan for the third bedroom which had been promised.
-3- The hot tub was milky green and unusable.
When we called to ask management for help with these 3 problems, we were told that nobody works the night shift as the closest worker lives an hour away. The check isn’t allowed to happen before 5pm, so nobody working after 5pm is an issue. Nobody showed up until almost 3pm the next day, when they brought the missing fan and propane for the bbq.
Throughout our stay the workers came and went unannounced, disrupting our vacation and never getting the hot tub in working order. As well, as they added water to the hot tub, we ran out of water in the chalet, unable to flush toilets, shower and run the dishwasher.
At the end of our stay, the management issued a partial refund for our stay realizing that we were not able to enjoy the chalet as advertised.
On a side note, this lake is small and quite shallow. We saw leeches and made the decision not to swim. Also, do not count on catching any fish in this lake; as experienced fisherman, we tried and only saw a handful of small catfish.
