「What a lovely place to stay. Our room was big, very comfortable and so clean. So many thoughtful touches were also provided. Breakfast, freshly made to order was tasty and plentiful. My only negative - we couldn’t stay longer!」

The only minor issue was the lighting by the mirrors we found inadequate for getting ready for a wedding and it would have be nice to have a full length mirror. 「Over the years I had driven past and thought how attractive it looked and intended to stay. The setting and interior exceeded my expectations. The view of the gardens and village from our room was gorgeous. Similarly the bar and restaurant were beautifully decorated and quintessentially English. The staff in reception and restaurant were friendly and highly professional.」

「What a charming place! Our room was above the pub which had good food and drink. Even better, the pub closes at 11 pm every night so it’s quiet for sleeping. The breakfast was very good and the management super friendly and helpful. This place has a long and interesting history which it preserves in its pleasant decor. 」

「A lovey hotel and certainly at the top end of the market, the room was lovely, the bathroom was small but modern. The free Gin is a nice touch! The spa looked special but didn’t use, however the restaurant was excellent. Would definitely return.」
